each day comes as a gift from God’s hand

‘A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and
find satisfaction in his work. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for
without Him, who can eat or find enjoyment?’ Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 (NIV).
Instead,
he is encouraging us to take pleasure in what we’re doing right now and to
enjoy life to the fullest because each day comes as a gift from God’s hand.
We
must be fully present in the now, making the most of each opportunity we have,
because God ordains how long or brief our life will be. He alone knows the
length of our days (Job 14:5).
True
enjoyment in life comes only as we follow God’s guidelines for living. Without
Him, satisfaction is a lost search (Isaiah
53:11).
Those
who really know how to live life to the full are the ones who take life each
day as a gift from God, thanking Him for it and serving Him in it.
Those
without God will have no relief from toil and no direction to guide them
through life’s complications.
It
is God who gives our life on this earth pleasure and purpose. He must be the
center of our life if we are to enjoy all things to the full.
Prayer:
‘Dear Jesus, show me what I need to release so that I
can draw closer to you. I want to experience each day of my life to the full
and find pleasure in all that you have given to me. Thank you for all your
blessings to me.’
In
Jesus’ Mighty Name,
AMEN!
Final
Thoughts:
Where
is God in our life? At the center or on the peripheral?
The
closer we are to our Heavenly Father, the more intimately He is involved in our
lives, determines the extent to which we will enjoy life to the full.
What
do we need to release so that His life can become more intertwined with ours?
So
that our life is totally caught up in Christ?
What
is God asking us to let go of so that we might hold more firmly to Him?
Be
Greatly Blessed!
