SURPRISES WITHOUT END - The Lord had a totally unexpected solution waiting in the wings, to be revealed just at the right time. Our God is the king of the unexpected, of the creative solutions, and left-field options! Heaven won’t be static. There will be surprises without end. So, wherever you think your life is at right now, remember that there’s never a dead-end in your life for the Lord “He’s famous for great and unexpected acts; there’s no end to his surprises.” I entrusted my life to the Lord Jesus when I was young. Since then, my life hasn’t turned out the way I thought it would. I can vouch for the fact that God’s acts in my life have been great and unexpected. I’ve seen God’s surprises in how he has moved in my life in guiding my life choices in surprising ways that I could never have foreseen, in intervening in my problems when I could see no way through, and in opening new vistas of possibilities that I never knew existed. Moses, who grew up as a prince in Egypt’s court, would have never expected that he would have married a Bedouin woman and that he would spend four decades as a shepherd in the wilderness. He never expected that he would one day challenge the authority of the mightiest king in the world with only a staff in his hand, and that with this staff he would part the waters of the sea. Moses never expected that he would form a new nation out of slaves that he would liberate, or that he would one day see the face of God, who would speak to him as a friend.

Surprises Without End

..

The Lord had a totally unexpected solution waiting in the wings, to be revealed just at the right time. Our God is the king of the unexpected, of the creative solutions, and left-field options! Heaven won’t be static. There will be surprises without end. So, wherever you think your life is at right now, remember that there’s never a dead-end in your life for the Lord.

Dr Eliezer Gonzalez

I love the way The Message paraphrases Job 5:9, “He’s famous for great and unexpected acts; there’s no end to his surprises.”

I entrusted my life to the Lord Jesus when I was young.

Since then, my life hasn’t turned out the way I thought it would.

Far from it!

Think about the life of Moses.

In my own life, there have been plenty of surprises as well!

When I was a child I never thought that I would be a teacher.

When I was a teacher I never thought that I would be an international business entrepreneur.

When I was a business executive, I never thought I would be a theologian.

When I was a theologian, I never thought that I would be leading a global Gospel ministry.

I never thought that I would marry someone as wonderful as my wife or have our two beautiful children.

Just as these have been surprises in my life, so too have been the Lord’s interventions in the everyday and sometimes very personal affairs of my life.

I’m certain that God has a great sense of humour.

As I look back, I can acknowledge the Lord’s great and unexpected acts in my own life.

I can enthusiastically agree that there’s no end to his surprises.

As I look forward to my future, not just in this world but in eternity, I’m excited!

Who knows what the Lord will do and how he will surprise me!

Not only is God full of surprises, but I’m certain he’s got a great sense of humour as well!

I’ve often come to what I’ve thought have been dead-ends in my life: relationships that seem shut down, work that seems fruitless, and employment that is going nowhere.

Sometimes I’ve prayed anxiously to the Lord. And then, the Lord has provided a totally unexpected way out.

Then, in awe of his ways, I’ve thanked him, and I’m certain that he’s lovingly chuckled at my earlier lack of faith.

All along, the Lord had a totally unexpected solution waiting in the wings, to be revealed just at the right time.

Our God is the king of the unexpected, of the creative solutions, and left-field options!

In those circumstances, I’ve been very happy to have Jesus chuckle kindly at my expense.

He has always come through and worked on my behalf to open doors and pathways in my life.

Heaven won’t be static. There will be surprises without end.

So, wherever you think your life is at right now, remember that there’s never a dead-end in your life for the Lord.

Eliezer Gonzalez is simply passionate about the gospel. With a background in teaching and management, the Lord called him to the gospel ministry and set him on an academic path. As a result, Eliezer earned two Master’s degrees (in Theology and Early Christian History), and then a PhD in Early Christian History.academic specialization is the early history of Christianity, and he was written prolifically in published books and in historical and theological academic journals. But don’t let that fool you! Eliezer communicates the gospel of the crucified and risen Christ in a powerful and simple way.

Eliezer has presented the gospel publicly in many countries and in many different forums. He considers it a privilege to be able to do his bit so that the Word Spreads Fast. Eliezer is praying for millions upon millions of people to be in the Kingdom of God because of the ministry of Good News Unlimited.

Good News Unlimited was born from the desire of like-minded Christians to enjoy fellowship based on Biblical principles, free from the politics and constraints of more formal religions. A non-profit ministry, it was originally established in California in 1980, but quickly spread through an informal network, producing regular taped sermons and a magazine, and sponsoring regular speaking seminars by Desmond Ford in various countries.

Good News Unlimited established a daily and weekly radio program which ran for more than twenty years. It also sponsored a TV program on health and preventative medicine, called ‘Worth More Than a Million’ for more than ten years.

DON'T WIPE THAT GRIN OFF YOUR FACE - Has the Coronavirus Pandemic caused you to lose your sense of humor? - We're going through a difficult time in history, and humor can help us alleviate fear and discouragement. We shouldn’t enjoy ungodly humor – but there’s nothing wrong with finding some humor in our circumstances with toilet paper, isolation, and face masks. In fact, it’s good, healing, joyful medicine - we must let Jesus direct our passion and our humor - “A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing”. I’ve moved over 20 times in my adult life, and I’ve met Christians from all over the world. And let me tell you, they are the best people around. Having said that, I want to speak to a problem that many of us have from time to time. I’ve had to repent of it myself at times: getting picky and uptight about the wrong things. We must let Jesus direct our passion and our humor. Has the Coronavirus Pandemic caused you to lose your sense of humor?

We're going through a difficult time in history, and humor can help us alleviate fear and discouragement. We shouldn’t enjoy ungodly humor – but there’s nothing wrong with finding some humor in our circumstances with toilet paper, isolation, and face masks. In fact, it’s good, healing, joyful medicine - we must let Jesus direct our passion and our humor

“A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing” - Proverbs 17:22 AMP.

We're going through a difficult time in history, and humor can help us alleviate fear and discouragement.

“A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing” - Proverbs 17:22 AMP.

We shouldn’t enjoy ungodly humor – but there’s nothing wrong with finding some humor in our circumstances with toilet paper, isolation, and face masks.

In fact, it’s good, healing, joyful medicine.

So, let’s be serious when we need to be serious, but let's also remember the truth in Proverbs 17:22 and lighten up.

Hi!  I'm Gail Burton Purath. I started Bible Love Notes to give people a minute of Scriptural encouragement in their busy day.

I don't have all the answers, but since I asked Christ to be my Lord and Savior in 1974, I've been learning from the One Who has all the answers!

I'm still a sinner, a learner, a student who falls down and disappoints God at times. But it's my desire to grow closer to the Lord, day by day, minute by minute.

I need to be challenged, encouraged, corrected and comforted, and I think you do as well...so let's learn together about the love of God--a love that is so vast that we will always be discovering new and wonderful things about it.

IT'S NEVER AS BAD AS IT SEEMS - We are pilgrims in this dangerous world, which will wound us at times so badly it will seem unbearable – yet we have this promise from God, “in the time of trouble He will hide me”. The world these days is full of bad news, with the coronavirus outbreak, tensions throughout the Middle East, and the natural disasters that continue to take place. It's a time of trouble all right, and for us believers, it may sometimes be hard to believe – but it never is as bad as it seems. Our true life for us as believers is hidden in Him. So, when the world approaches us with a smoking gun, ready to put us out of our misery, perhaps we can find a supernatural strength, and simply say, "I never felt better!" “One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.” - Psalm 27:4-5

The world these days is full of bad news, with the coronavirus outbreak, tensions throughout the Middle East, and the natural disasters that continue to take place.
It's a time of trouble all right, and for us believers, it may sometimes be hard to believe – but it never is as bad as it seems.
Let me illustrate with a joke I like to share with my messages.
Way out west (in America, of course), a cowboy is driving down a road, his dog riding in the back of his pickup truck, his faithful horse in the trailer behind.
As he takes a curve on the highway, he suddenly loses control of the vehicle and has a terrible accident.

A great lover of animals, the officer's attention is first drawn to the horse.
Realizing the serious nature of its injuries, he draws his service revolver and puts the animal out of its misery.
Then walking around the accident, he finds the dog, also critically wounded, and whining miserably in pain. This grips his heart and he quickly ends the dog's suffering as well.

The cowboy takes one look at the smoking gun in the trooper's hand and quickly replies, with unexpected energy, “Never felt better!”
We are pilgrims in this dangerous world, which will wound us at times so badly it will seem unbearable – yet we have this promise from God, “in the time of trouble He will hide me”.
Our true life for us as believers is hidden in Him.
So, when the world approaches us with a smoking gun, ready to put us out of our misery, perhaps we can find a supernatural strength, and simply say, "I never felt better!"
