EXPECT GOD’S FAVOR - Your Abba wants to take you as his precious child right up next to his heart today. He will keep you close and make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. Your Father smiles on you today with his compassion and his full blessing as you seek him. He knew you before you were born. You are constantly on his mind. Your Father’s providence goes before you to provide for your every need. He is with you to strengthen you and keep you from harm. Be blessed as his favor rests on his appointed work through your hands, because his purposes and power for you are great. “For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” “You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit.” Know the assurance of your Father’s blessing, his presence, his favor, and his surrounding grace. Who you are and everything you have is the result of his favor. He is your sun and shield, and his honor validates you. Your Abba wants to take you as his precious child right up next to his heart today. He will keep you close and make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. Your Father smiles on you today with his compassion and his full blessing as you seek him. He has written this day of your life in his book. He knew you before you were born. You are constantly on his mind. Be blessed to know that your Father’s providence goes before you to provide for your every need.

“For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” - Psalm 5:12

And

“You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit.” - Job 10:12

Beloved one, know the assurance of your Father’s blessing, his presence, his favor, and his surrounding grace.

Who you are and everything you have is the result of his favor.

He is your sun and shield, and his honor validates you (Psalm 84:11).

Your Abba wants to take you as his precious child right up next to his heart today.

He will keep you close and make his face shine on you and be gracious to you (Numbers 6:24-25).

Your Father smiles on you today with his compassion and his full blessing as you seek him (Isaiah 30:18).

He has written this day of your life in his book.

He knew you before you were born (Psalm 139:16).

You are constantly on his mind (Psalm 139:17-18).

Be blessed to know that your Father’s providence goes before you to provide for your every need.

He is with you to strengthen you and keep you from harm (1 Chronicles 4:10).

Be blessed as his favor rests on his appointed work through your hands (Psalm 90:17), because his purposes and power for you are great.

Dear one, you need favor with your authorities whom God has placed over you and with those in decision-making positions (Ezra 7:27; Nehemiah 1:11).

His Word says, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases” (Proverbs 21:1).

Be blessed as God breaks through all hindrances and uses all concerned with you to fulfill his will on your behalf.

Let your Abba protect your emotions, as he surrounds you with the shield of his presence (Psalm 5:12).

He promises that weeping may endure for a night, his anger is but for a moment, but joy comes in the morning, and his favor lasts for your lifetime (Psalm 30:5).

He keeps you today in the favor of his love and faithfulness (Proverbs 3:3-4).

He withholds no good thing from you as you live before him blamelessly (Psalm 84:11).

Be blessed in the name of the One who rejoices today in doing you good (Jeremiah 32:41).

LIVING IN GOD’S SUPERNATURAL FAVOR - Being “blessed” means having supernatural power working for you. By contrast, being “cursed” means having supernatural power working against you. The days of the blessed person are filled with divine “coincidences” and heavenly meaning. Blessed people may or may not be wealthy by the world’s standards, but they enjoy a quality of life that most billionaires would envy. That’s God’s favor! Everything you touch does well. Blessing permeates every aspect of your life — health, relationships, work, family, emotions, and thoughts.

Living in God’s Supernatural Favor
by Robert Morris

A pivotal moment on my journey to the blessed life occurred when a man I hardly knew gave me an unexpected word from the Lord: “God wants to teach you about giving so that you can teach the Body of Christ.”
At the time I was a traveling evangelist, and all of my income came from love offerings I received from the churches where I preached.
My income from offerings might be $800 one week and $200 the next. My wife Debbie and I just never knew.
But early in our marriage, we had learned to trust God where our finances were concerned — and our income skyrocketed as a result.
The more Debbie and I gave, the more God gave to us. It was as if we were truly living out the old saying: You can’t out-give God.
We were able to increase our giving to 70% of our gross income, and we found ourselves living more comfortably on 30% than we previously had on 90%.
Are You Blessed?
Since God brought us into that remarkable season of giving, I’ve done a lot of studying on God’s favor and what it looks like to have a “blessed life.”
Being “blessed” means having supernatural power working for you.
By contrast, being “cursed” means having supernatural power working against you.
The days of the blessed person are filled with divine “coincidences” and heavenly meaning.
Blessed people may or may not be wealthy by the world’s standards, but they enjoy a quality of life that most billionaires would envy.
At several separate points in the book of Deuteronomy, God tells those who will obey Him that He will bless everything to which they put their hands (Deuteronomy 14:29, 15:10, 23:20, 28:8, 28:12).
That’s God’s favor!
Everything you touch does well. Blessing permeates every aspect of your life — health, relationships, work, family, emotions, and thoughts.
A Heart Transformation
Yes, as God’s people prosper, more money will come into the Kingdom. But much more important, our hearts will be changed!
No one is a natural-born giver. We are all born takers.
We enter this world with a fallen sin nature, and at the heart of that nature is a tendency toward selfishness.
In contrast, God is a giver.
The most widely known verse in the Bible tells us: “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son” (John 3:16).
Our Heavenly Father is generous beyond our ability to imagine. In contrast, it was selfishness and pride that caused Satan to be cast out of Heaven.
Yet many people in our culture have that picture exactly backwards. They see God as stingy and the devil as the one who likes to pass out favors.
I can tell you from personal experience, there’s no greater adventure on Earth than living the life of generosity and abundance that’s available to all of God’s people — but that so few ever dare to live.
It is a journey of reward, blessings, and favor. So, let your adventure begin!

CHASED BY GOD’S BLESSINGS - God has already made HIS decision that He wants to bless you as His child, but now the ball is in your court — ready for YOUR decision to align yourself with the favor He wants to give you. Throughout the Scriptures, you see men and women faced with important decisions that will impact their earthly blessings and eternal destiny. “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days.” This shouldn’t really be a hard choice, because the consequences are so clear. Will you choose life or death? Do you want to be chased by God’s blessings or harassed by curses brought on through your disobedience? God’s Word describes how each of us can attract God’s blessings instead of bill collectors and never-ending troubles. Deuteronomy 28:1-14 paints a beautiful picture of some of the blessings you can expect when you’re walking the favor of God. Not only does God say you will receive these blessings if you obey Him, but He says they will “overtake you.” In other words, instead of you having to chase God’s blessings, they will chase YOU! And notice how all-inclusive God’s blessings will be when you have His favor.

God has already made HIS decision that He wants to bless you as His child, but now the ball is in your court — ready for YOUR decision to align yourself with the favor He wants to give you. Will you choose life or death? Do you want to be chased by God’s blessings or harassed by curses brought on through your disobedience? Joshua declared that he had already made his choice — both for himself and for his family: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Are you ready to make your declaration of full allegiance to God today? Make a fresh commitment to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Then get ready for a tidal wave of blessings to chase you and overtake you!

The key to God’s amazing turnaround plan — enabling you to walk in His favor in every area of your life.
Have you ever known someone who seems to be constantly hounded by problems?
Whenever you run into them, there’s some new crisis in their health, finances, or family. It’s as if the devil is harassing them 24/7.
Fortunately, God offers such a person a turnaround if they’re willing to heed His instructions.
His Word describes how each of us can attract God’s blessings instead of bill collectors and never-ending troubles.
Would you like to know more?
Deuteronomy 28:1-14 paints a beautiful picture of some of the blessings you can expect when you’re walking the favor of God. Not only does God say you will receive these blessings if you obey Him, but He says they will overtake you” (verse 2).
In other words, instead of you having to chase God’s blessings, they will chase YOU!
And notice how all-inclusive God’s blessings will be when you have His favor:
Every place you go, whether in the city and in the country (verse 3).
In the health of your body and the fruit of your labor (verse 4).
With both your coming in and your going out (verse 6).
Providing you with victory over your enemies (verse 7).
Blessing you in everything you set your hand to (verse 8).
Establishing you as part of the Lord’s “holy people” (verse 9).
Giving you breakthroughs of God’s bounty and “His good treasure” (verse 11).
Becoming “the head and not the tail” (verse 13).
But notice, as with countless other promises in the Bible, there are conditions attached to this abundant favor.
All of the blessings listed in Deuteronomy 28 are based on our response to God’s invitation in verse 1: “Now it shall come to pass, IF you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today…”
Too often, when we read God’s promises in Scripture, we overlook the conditions He includes in the context.
If we expect to experience the kind of favor described in Deuteronomy 28, we must obey His voice and observe His commandments!
Attracting God’s Favor
Too often, people get the wrong idea that God’s blessings are totally random and unpredictable — something we can’t really do anything about.
This fatalistic view keeps people from taking any responsibility for the life of favor God wants to give them.
Yet this is not at all what the Bible teaches. God has already made HIS decision that He wants to bless you as His child, but now the ball is in your court — ready for YOUR decision to align yourself with the favor He wants to give you.
Throughout the Scriptures, you see men and women faced with important decisions that will impact their earthly blessings and eternal destiny.
For example, God confronted the Israelites with a stark choice in Deuteronomy 30:15-20:
“See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it…”
“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse.
“So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days.”
This shouldn’t really be a hard choice, because the consequences are so clear.
Will you choose life or death? Do you want to be chased by God’s blessings or harassed by curses brought on through your disobedience?
Steps of Obedience
The Lord also explains in this passage what you must DO in order to “choose life.”
It requires a firm decision to love Him, walk in His ways, obey His voice, and hold fast to Him.
This is a decision you cannot avoid. God is calling for a wholehearted choice to put Him first in your life.
Joshua described this to the Israelites when he gave them this bold challenge: “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).
Joshua’s words are packed full of meaning for your life today. You must make a choice.
And instead of procrastinating, you must make your decision today.
There are countless other “gods” in our culture today, but you must turn your back on them and choose to follow the Lord instead.
Joshua declared that he had already made his choice — both for himself and for his family: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Are you ready to make your declaration of full allegiance to God today?
Take a few moments to pause and allow the Lord to examine your heart. Is there some teaching in His Word that you’ve been ignoring?
Have you hardened your heart to the voice of His Spirit in some way?
Make a fresh commitment to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Then get ready for a tidal wave of blessings to chase you and overtake you!
