CELEBRATE WITH THE SHEPHERDS - A host of angels appeared and the glory of the Lord blazed across a darkened sky. The shepherds were shaken with awe and wonder, to the point of fear. They raced to Bethlehem to find the Messiah lying in a manger and worship Him. What a glorious scene that must have been! “Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen.” - It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the busyness of the Christmas season. But a supernatural encounter with the King of Kings can change all that. It certainly transformed the shepherds. First, a host of angels appeared and the glory of the Lord blazed across a darkened sky. The shepherds were shaken with awe and wonder, to the point of fear. In fact, the angels had to reassure them because they were “sore afraid!” But once they realized the magnitude of what they’d been told, they could hardly contain their joy! They raced to Bethlehem to find the Messiah lying in a manger and worship Him. What a glorious scene that must have been! God gave us the greatest gift of all when He sent His son to be Emmanuel, God with Us. As you make time to worship Him during this busy holiday season, I pray that you will experience supernatural miracles, just like the shepherds did on that starry night so long ago. May all the awe and wonder of that first Christmas be yours today! But a supernatural encounter with the King of Kings can change all that. It certainly transformed the shepherds. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the busyness of the Christmas season.

But a supernatural encounter with the King of Kings can change all that.

It certainly transformed the shepherds.

First, a host of angels appeared and the glory of the Lord blazed across a darkened sky.

The shepherds were shaken with awe and wonder, to the point of fear.

In fact, the angels had to reassure them because they were “sore afraid!”

But once they realized the magnitude of what they’d been told, they could hardly contain their joy!

God bless you,

PRAISE OF ANGELS - An angel declares that a baby in a manger in Bethlehem is to be called "Savior." He is not "Christ your Lord" but “Christ the Lord," sovereign Lord of all creation. The Messiah had come, and the heavens resounded with the praise of angels. We have been brought from death to life, from darkness into light. Let the heavens resound with our praise! “For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Suddenly there was with the angel a company of the heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, and good will toward men.” The angel that appeared to the shepherds that glorious night made an astounding statement. The shepherds knew Isaiah 43:11, "I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me, there is no savior." But now, an angel declares that a baby in a manger in Bethlehem is to be called "Savior." He is not "Christ your Lord" but “Christ the Lord," sovereign Lord of all creation. The angel was suddenly accompanied by "a great heavenly host." Together they begin to praise the One they served perpetually in heaven, the One who had now entered time wrapped in human flesh. The Messiah had come, and the heavens resounded with the praise of angels. Should we not do the same? Do your lips constantly praise Him? Do you always bless and never curse His name? How will you give Jesus praise today?

MARY'S SONG - If Jesus had never come to earth as a man, we would have lived forever in spiritual ignorance. Everything Mary sang has come to pass, as the life of her Son played a revolutionary role in the life and history of mankind. Without Him, all of life is based on principles totally opposed to the right foundations for true life. Make Mary's Hymn your song of praise this Christmas season. Lift up your voice and proclaim the magnificence of the God we serve. “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” - In her hymn of praise, Mary extolled the perfection of God. Through Gabriel's promise of God's fulfillment of His promises regarding the Messiah, she saw all His divine perfection: His power, His holiness, His mercy, and His faithfulness. It is only through the incarnation of Jesus that we learn to know God in His omnipotence, holiness, mercy, and faithfulness. “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” - Luke 1:46-47

I declare Your Glory.

I give honor to Your name.

You are magnificent of my life.

Lamentations 3:23

Rod Parsley has been clearly called to a pre-eminent position of leadership within the Body of Christ, as his numerous roles – including TV host, evangelist, educator, humanitarian and statesman – will attest. But he’d be the first to tell you that his prominence is solely a function of his willingness to be used by God in extraordinary ways.

He was 19 when he first led a Bible study in his parents’ backyard. In more than 40 years since then, he’s built one of the most important and far-reaching Christian ministries in the United States. He has founded and now leads outreaches with local, national and worldwide reaches.

This New York Times best-selling author has successfully advocated for federal legislation, delivered hundreds of millions of pounds of food and medical supplies to poverty-stricken areas of the world and changed the lives of thousands who will shape the cultural landscape in the next generation. He’s in constant demand to preach the Gospel in pulpits across America and around the world, and to comment publicly on the moral issues of our day. If none of those opportunities had ever presented themselves, though, he’d still be Pastor Parsley, sharing God’s Word with his beloved World Harvest Church, helping his congregation know God as he does.
