THE WAGONS ARE COMING - Hold on, don't despair! Wait for God’s treasures and stop trying to make things happen your way - the wagons are coming, overflowing with the goodness of God. The Wagons Are Coming

Hold on, don't despair!

.

.

Wait for God’s treasures and stop trying to make things happen your way - the wagons are coming, overflowing with the goodness of God. God's provision is worth waiting for. Don't settle for good - wait for His best. His provisions last while worldly stuff rusts and corrodes. Don't settle for rusty iron when He has silver and gold for you.

Rod Parsley

“They told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said to them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.” - Genesis 45:27

Jacob's love for Joseph aroused his ten older sons to jealousy, prompting them to sell Joseph into slavery and then to cover their deed with a lie.

In the years that followed, Joseph rose from slavery to power in Egypt, while famine fell upon his family (Genesis 41:56-57).

As his sons journeyed to buy food in Egypt, Jacob looked around and saw his expectations for his sons and his land reduced to dry dust.

But Jacob had God's Word.

Day after day he reminded himself, "In blessing, I will bless thee and in multiplying, I will multiply thee" (Genesis 22:17).

One day he heard a sound -- the wagons were coming!

But they weren't creaking and rattling like when they left.

No! They were heavy and full of provision and promise!

Hold on, don't despair!

The wagons are coming, overflowing with the goodness of God.

God's provision is worth waiting for.

Don't settle for good. Wait for His best.

His provisions last while worldly stuff rusts and corrodes.

Don't settle for rusty iron when He has silver and gold for you.

Lord, I desire Your best. Nothing else will do.

So, I will wait for Your treasures and will stop trying to make things happen my way.

Amen.

Rod Parsley has been clearly called to a pre-eminent position of leadership within the Body of Christ, as his numerous roles – including TV host, evangelist, educator, humanitarian and statesman – will attest. But he’d be the first to tell you that his prominence is solely a function of his willingness to be used by God in extraordinary ways.

He was 19 when he first led a Bible study in his parents’ backyard. In more than 40 years since then, he’s built one of the most important and far-reaching Christian ministries in the United States. He has founded and now leads outreaches with local, national and worldwide reaches.

This New York Times best-selling author has successfully advocated for federal legislation, delivered hundreds of millions of pounds of food and medical supplies to poverty-stricken areas of the world and changed the lives of thousands who will shape the cultural landscape in the next generation. He’s in constant demand to preach the Gospel in pulpits across America and around the world, and to comment publicly on the moral issues of our day. If none of those opportunities had ever presented themselves, though, he’d still be Pastor Parsley, sharing God’s Word with his beloved World Harvest Church, helping his congregation know God as he does.

His other ministries include Valor Christian College; Harvest Preparatory School, an educational institution for local students from preschool through 12th grade; Hispanic and urban-outreach ministries; a national ministerial alliance; Bridge of Hope, a world-wide missions organization.

CALL TECH SUPPORT - Called tech support lately? Sometimes we make a mess out of our lives. We don't consult God's "instruction manual" (the Bible), we don't call for assistance (pray), we just try to "fix" the problems in our lives by ourselves and in the process do some pretty stupid things. When we finally reach the point where we realize we've made a mess and we humble ourselves in the presence of God, He doesn't say, "There's nothing I can do for you." Rather, He stands ready to help. Made a mess of something lately? The "tech support" line is open and ready to take your call. Customer: "I got this problem. You people sent me this install disk, and now my A: drive won't work." Tech Support: "Your A: drive won't work?" Tech Support: "Let me get this straight. You are going to sue our company because you put the disk in the A: drive, didn't follow the instructions we sent you, didn't actually seek professional advice, didn't consult your user's manual on how to use your computer properly, instead proceeding to pour butter into the drive and physically rip the disk out?" Sounds like the mess we sometimes make of our lives. Tech Support: "Do you really think you stand a chance, since we do record every call and have it on tape?" Customer: (now rather humbled) "But you're supposed to help!" Tech Support: "I am sorry sir, but there is nothing we can do for you. Have a nice day." I DID IT MY WAY - We had turned our back on God’s way, and we had chosen our own way instead. I thought my way was right, but my life was a mess. Reading the Bible and the books about prophecy showed me that my standards just didn’t matter. It was God’s standards that I would be judged by. I realized that I had blown it - I hadn’t kept God’s Word - I’d chosen my own way over His. That’s why my life was a mess - my rebellion against God carried an eternal death penalty. But God, in His great love for the world, and for me, made the only way out - His Name is Jesus - “All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” - I began to be afraid as I looked around at the world. It appeared to be getting worse, not better. Why? Wasn’t it supposed to get better and better? And what about my life? The same thing was happening there. Though I believed it would get better and better, it was clearly worse. I had more problems, not less. The world, really frightened me. Friends had been reading books on Bible prophecy. They said that the Bible told of our time and the things that were happening now. But, call it curiosity or whatever you want, I read those books and some of the Bible as well. What I learned was that the Bible really did tell about the world that I live in and about the future. It even told about me. Now I was really scared.
