KEEP FIXING YOUR EYES ON ME - When things don’t go as you would like, accept the situation immediately. If you indulge in feelings of regret, they can easily spill over the line into resentment. Keep Fixing Your Eyes on Me

I, the Creator of the universe, am with you and for you. What more could you need?

When you feel some lack, it is because you are not connecting with Me at a deep level. I offer abundant Life; your part is to trust Me, refusing to worry about anything.

It is not so much adverse events that make you anxious as it is your thoughts about those events.

Your mind engages in efforts to take control of a situation, to bring about the result you desire.

Your thoughts close in on the problem like ravenous wolves.

Determined to make things go your way, you forget that I am in charge of your life.

The only remedy is to switch your focus from the problem to My Presence. Stop all your striving, and watch to see what I will do. I am the Lord!

“What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” — Romans 8:31-32

“But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7

“Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, ‘Jesus be cursed,’ and no one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ except by the Holy Spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 12:3

When things don’t go as you would like, accept the situation immediately.

If you indulge in feelings of regret, they can easily spill over the line into resentment.

Remember that I am sovereign over your circumstances, and humble yourself under My mighty hand.

Rejoice in what I am doing in your life, even though it is beyond your understanding.

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. In Me you have everything you need, both for this life and for the life yet to come.

Don’t let the impact of the world shatter your thinking or draw you away from focusing on Me.

The ultimate challenge is to keep fixing your eyes on Me, no matter what is going on around you.

When I am central in your thinking, you are able to view circumstances from My perspective.

“Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” — 1 Peter 5:5-6

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” — John 14:6

REMEMBERING WHAT REALLY MATTERS - where are you investing your time, your moments, your days? - When your time on Planet Earth is about to end and you are reflecting on how your once-around trip through life has worked out, you'll think about and reach for the people who are most important to you. And you will think about what happens after you have taken your last breath. These are the really important things — don't fritter away your life with what cannot go into eternity. Being responsible and working hard are good things. And there is nothing wrong with enjoying the fruits of honest labor - yet the Bible cautions us to remember that we came into the world without a company, portfolio, or fortune — and will leave it the same way - “Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, ‘That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life — whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!’” - Most people spend most of their time sweating over things that won't really matter when all is said and done. When your time on Planet Earth is about to end you'll think about and reach for the people who are most important to you. And you will think about what happens after you have taken your last breath.

Remembering What Really Matters
So where are you investing your time, your moments, your days?
.
When your time on Planet Earth is about to end and you are reflecting on how your once-around trip through life has worked out, you'll think about and reach for the people who are most important to you. And you will think about what happens after you have taken your last breath. These are the really important things — don't fritter away your life with what cannot go into eternity. Being responsible and working hard are good things. And there is nothing wrong with enjoying the fruits of honest labor - yet the Bible cautions us to remember that we came into the world without a company, portfolio, or fortune — and will leave it the same way

A Taste of Home

“Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, ‘That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life — whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!’” - (Luke 12:22-24).

Don't worry/The birds_based on Luke 12:22-24 New Century Version ...My theory is that most people spend most of their time sweating over things that won't really matter when all is said and done.
You've probably heard the one about the up-and-coming entrepreneur who was opening the door of his sleek new Jaguar when a truck roared by, hit it, and ripped it off its hinges.
The police arrived at the scene quickly and found the man jumping up and down in the street.
He was shrieking to anyone who would listen about the horrible damage done to his precious automobile.
"You wheeler-dealers are all so materialistic!" began the investigating officer, shaking his head in bewilderment.
"You make me sick."
"What's your problem?" the driver snapped.
"You're so worried about your precious Jaguar," said the cop, "that you appear not to have noticed that your left arm was ripped off!"
"Oh, no!" bellowed the guy as he looked down at the grisly stump where his arm had been a few minutes before.
"What happened to my Rolex?"
Reading the Gospel of Luke 12:22-31 Ecologically: Part Seven ...When one of us gets where my young friend was when he was told that he likely had less than six months to live, he will focus intensely on the things that really matter in life.
There will be far less concern about the newest electronic gadget, a bigger house, liposuction, a luxury car, or some other inconsequential indulgence.
In fact, I doubt that a one of those items will come to mind at all.
Don't fritter away your life with what cannot go into eternity.
When your time on Planet Earth is about to end and you are reflecting on how your once-around trip through life has worked out, you'll think about and reach for the people who are most important to you.
And you will think about what happens after you have taken your last breath.43
Inspiring Bible Verse for Today July 15These are the really important things — as opposed to burning yourself out at the office, neglecting your family and friends, and pushing spiritual concerns to the fringe of your life.
Being responsible and working hard are good things.
And there is nothing wrong with enjoying the fruits of honest labor.
Yet the Bible cautions us to remember that we came into the world without a company, portfolio, or fortune — and will leave it the same way.
So, the smart thing is to major in what will matter at the end and not to fritter away your life with what cannot go into eternity.
“Judged by that standard, how does your plan for the week look now? What do people really get for all their hard work?
“I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
“So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God” - (Ecclesiastes 3:9-13 NLT).

FOCUS ON JESUS - Life needs a level of focus: to fix our eyes on a goal and not be dissuaded from it. To run the race of life steadily, let us run with perseverance the race marked out before us, throwing off everything that hinders us and fix our eyes on Jesus, whose example of endurance and commitment is worth following. In our race let us consider the suffering, rejection and pain that Christ endured - whatever your priorities are today, focus first on Jesus, and everything else will come into place - In a race the runners all compete, but only one receives the prize. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, for He’s your salvation – the prize of all prizes. He is the answer. He is the way. He is the truth. He is the very personification of our Father’s grace. And He rightfully belongs in the centre of our lives. Whatever your priorities are today, focus first on Jesus, and everything else will come into place. For only one thing is needful – to rest at Jesus’ feet and enjoy His presence. Trust in His love and grace. Focus on Jesus and His perfect work on the Cross. When you are happy – focus on Jesus and share your joy with Him. When you are facing difficulties – focus on Jesus and draw on His strength. When you are tempted by the evil one – focus on Jesus and His complete victory on the Cross. Whatever you are facing, whatever you are struggling with, whatever you are rejoicing for, lay them all at Jesus’s feet and let His peace that surpasses all understanding fill and saturate your heart.

Prayer:
Zola Pieterse (born Zola Budd, 26 May 1966 in Bloemfontein, Orange ...Father, thank you for sending Jesus to save us.
We were hopelessly lost, but you never gave up on us.
Through Jesus’ finished work, we are now redeemed and righteous.
Because of Jesus, we can now freely receive your love and blessings.
Help me to focus on Jesus today Lord, that I may run faithfully on the path you have set before me.
Show me where I am losing focus. Help me to remember that you are always by my side, encouraging me and cheering me on.
Thank you Father. I love you and bless your Name.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name,
AMEN!
Additional Thoughts:
The gunshot reverberated around the stadium and the competitors were off and running.
CROSS COUNTRY: Port Angeles and Forks girls win league titles ...Only one would claim the shining cup and each man raced forward hopeful to take hold of the prize himself.
But one stumbled and came crashing to the ground.
Another, hearing his name shouted out from the grandstand, turned aimlessly around and fell behind.
Yet one more slumped over as a sudden gut-wrenching pain overpowered him.
And so, they fell away one by one.
Just one man ran in such a way that he might win. And he did.
Life needs a level of focus: to fix our eyes on a goal and not be dissuaded from it.
To run the race of life steadily, heedless of the distractions that would cause us to run everywhere, rather than straight ahead into the path God calls us on.
Persuaded by the voices of others, we can easily lose focus.
Our energy is dissipated and we became frustrated as we spread ourselves thinly over an ever-growing circle of demands.
Paul exhorts us in Hebrews 12 to run with perseverance the race marked out before us, throwing off everything that hinders us and fix our eyes on Jesus, whose example of endurance and commitment is worth following.
1 Corinthians 9:24 | joshtinpowers | FlickrIn our race let us consider the suffering, rejection and pain that Christ endured, so that we will not grow weary and lose heart.
To run a race, we must travel lightly.
What burdens or distractions are weighing us down?
Bad habits, regrets, unforgiveness, greed or selfishness are the weights that will cause us to slow down and lose focus on the goal.
Cast them all away, sit at Jesus feet, focus on Him and His finished work.
That is the one thing needful.
