Did you know that even demons submit to you and me?

The power of God in your life is so amazing.

He wants to give you so many gifts. These gifts are given to all who ask, and they are free.

Have you ever experienced the gifts of the Spirit?

If you’ve ever needed a miracle, the gifts would be available.

If you ever needed a word of wisdom or knowledge, the gifts would be there.

If you’ve ever needed discernment, the gifts would be there.

The gifts of the Spirit are available to us every day. We just have to believe, obey and ask for heaven to invade the earth through us.

First Corinthians 12:4-7 promises it all: “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-7 NIV)

In the first century church, the New Testament was not finished and published for the masses to read.

So, trial and error were pretty much the way believers learned the gifts of the Spirit.

In Luke 9:1-3, we are introduced to the Jesus training manual: “Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority … (KJV).

Jesus then sends an additional 72 disciples with these words: “Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’” (Luke 10:3 NIV)

The seventy-two must have had a crash course in changing the world because they didn’t know that they had spiritual authority.

Can you imagine their surprise when, a few days later, they returned with amazing stories of healings and deliverances?

They summarized their excitement with these words: “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” (Luke 10:17, NIV)

Although spiritual authority was not part of their training, they discovered they had this gift as well.

Wow! It must have been so thrilling.

Have you discovered the gifts of the Spirit and His divine authority given to you?

I’ve got incredible surprises for all of you.

Jesus wants to give you divine authority and His gifts.

With these blessings, you can bring a lot more of heaven to this planet.

Dare to ask Him, and watch what He will do through you.

Because you’re a miracle.

My name is Paul Marc Goulet, and I’m the writer of A Miracle Every Day. Allow me to introduce myself a bit…

I was raised by two French Canadian parents who were married for over 50 years. My dad was a World War II hero who made his way up the corporate ladder and my mom was a stay at home parent. On the outside everything looked great, but our family was quite dysfunctional. My dad struggled with PTSD at times, and all of the five kids were affected by his pain.

Although I had a lot of success playing ice hockey, I struggled with resentment, anger, depression and rejection. I eventually started abusing drugs and alcohol and contemplated suicide by the age of 20.

One day, after a hockey practice, a group called Athletes In Action shared about a relationship with Jesus Christ. I’d never heard about a “born again” experience. I’d never heard about the promise of an abundant life before that day. I’d never heard about John 10:10 or Revelation 3:20.

One week later, my eldest brother invited me to receive Christ in a personal way. I did, and the rest of my life started changing. I started getting into the Bible and hanging around Christians who really cared for me. I shifted my major in university to Psychology so that I could understand myself and help others.

I found the girl of my dreams (Denise) in my last year of university, married her, and headed off to Bible College and then graduated school.

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR MANTLE FROM GOD - What God has for you is a gift of His grace - the very best He has to give. Just as Jacob gave his son Joseph a coat of many colors, your Father has given you unique and colorful gifts. Embrace and honor the unique spiritual gifts God has given to you; wear them and shine brightly. The power of the Holy Spirit can be released in a word of declaration, through prayer, a touch or an act of obedience. Foster the qualities of compassion, love and faith in your life. By faith, receive these from the Holy Spirit and practice walking in them. With the eye of faith, see the Holy Spirit upon you and surrounding you - see God’s power touching others wherever you go - “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” I have always imagined being ‘clothed in the Spirit’s power’ to be like wearing a physical garment, for example: Elisha had a mantle (cloak) that formerly belong to Elijah. People reached to touch Jesus’ physical garments and were healed. However, a physical item of clothing is limited. Jesus is speaking of a spiritual clothing of power that is available to each of us through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. A ‘mantle’ is also a Scriptural symbol for a particular calling, ministry and anointing, given to individuals by God. If you believe God is stirring you about your own ‘mantle’, I encourage you to take time to study and pray further.

“I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49 NIV)

I have always imagined being ‘clothed in the Spirit’s power’ to be like wearing a physical garment, for example:
·     Elisha had a mantle (cloak) that formerly belong to Elijah
·     People reached to touch Jesus’ physical garments and were healed
However, a physical item of clothing is limited. Its fabric can be felt and touched; it can be pulled at, or torn. Its properties cannot be transferred to another person.
In order to be given to another person, the wearer must remove it first.
In Luke 24, Jesus is not speaking of physical garments, but a spiritual mantling.
Vision of a Mantle
A few days ago, I had a vision of a mantle that challenged and intrigued me.
I saw a person clothed in a garment of many colors.
These were not set in distinguishable patterns; instead, the mantle shimmered with various colors at once. And it was translucent, filled with light.
This mantle did not have the properties of physical clothing but appeared to be fluid, as though made of liquid.
I saw people reach to touch the garment, and the substance of that robe flowed out like water to those who stretched towards it.
It was dynamic, full of life and power.
What I saw challenged my perspective and — as all prophetic insights should do — sent me back to God’s Word.
7 Ways to Make the Most of Your Mantle from God
Jesus is speaking of a spiritual clothing of power that is available to each of us through the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49). [1]
Acts for today! | livingmoreabundantly·     A ‘mantle’ is also a Scriptural symbol for a particular calling, ministry and anointing, given to individuals by God. [2]
Here are some Biblical insights I’ve been meditating on over the past few days.
If you believe God is stirring you about your own ‘mantle’, I encourage you to take time to study and pray further over each of these:
1. Know Your Mantle is Personal and Unique
The father in Jesus’ story of the prodigal son ordered his servants to clothe the son in the best robe (Luke 15:22).
It was a long-fitting gown of great distinction.
What God has for you is a gift of His grace; the very best He has to give.
Just as Jacob gave his son Joseph a coat of many colors, your Father has given you unique and colorful gifts.
Peter wrote, ‘As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God’ (1 Peter 4:10, NKJV).
That word translated manifold,” which is poikilos in the Greek, means various or diverse colors (Strongs G4164). [3]
Don’t be intimidated by another person’s gift or calling, and don’t let your light be dimmed.
Embrace and honor the unique spiritual gifts God has given to you; wear them and shine brightly.
2. Be a Steward of Your Spiritual Gifts
‘As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.’ (1 Peter 4:10, NKJV)
The Greek word translated ‘steward’ is oikonomos (Strongs G3623). [4]
1 John 4:19It means the manager of a household affairs, who has the power to distribute the owner’s resources as needed.
What a powerful truth!
You are the ‘manager’ of your gifts from God and can choose to release the spiritual gifts God has entrusted to you.
You have the power to develop and grow those gifts, and faithfully distribute them, in the context of the church body (1 Corinthians 12) as well as your everyday life. [5]
3. Walk in Qualities that Release the Spirit’s Anointing
‘She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed” (Matthew 9:21, NIV).
‘Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong’ (Acts 3:6-7, NIV)
The power of the Spirit is released through faith on the part of the receiver, the giver, or both.
Faith is intentional. Faith acts.
The power of the Spirit can be released in a word of declaration, through prayer, a touch or an act of obedience.
Image result for Luke 24:49 NIVCompassion is also related to the release of God’s power. ‘When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick’. (Matthew 14:14)
So, foster the qualities of compassion, love and faith in your life. By faith, receive these from the Holy Spirit and practice walking in them.
4. Have a Vision of Walking in Increasing Power
‘As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.’ (Acts 5:15 NIV)
Peter walked and his shadow healed the sick. The mantling of the Spirit was upon him in a powerful way, surrounding him in a wide area.
May you ever desire to grow and the fullness of what God has for you.
With the eye of faith, see the Spirit upon you and surrounding you. See God’s power touching others wherever you go.
No atmosphere is untouched or immune to God’s power upon your life.
5. Highly Value Commissioning
‘They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them… Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.’ (Acts 6:6,8, NIV)
Something powerful takes place in commissioning.
Symbols of the Holy Spirit | Loyola PressAfter the apostles laid hands on the deacons, this new band of leaders operated in great power with signs and wonders.
Timothy also received gifts of the Spirit through the laying on of the Apostle Paul’s hands (2 Timothy 1:6) and through a time of presbytery (1 Timothy 4:14).
Be positioned in faithful service to others.
Recognize the power of having the gift and call of God on your life affirmed by leaders, both personally and as part of a group or church body (1 Corinthians 12).
6. Stay Full of the Holy Spirit
‘And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18, NKJV)
The Apostle Paul exhorts us to ‘be filled with the Spirit’, using the present continuous tense of the Greek verb pleroo, ‘to be filled’ [6].
On one hand, the Bible tells us that we are filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 1:17-23, 3:18-19) and that He gives the Spirit ‘without measure’ (John 3:34).
But we also learn in Scripture that God wants us to pursue encounters with Him, and to seek more of His Spirit and His power. [7]
Both are true!
So rejoice in the fullness of the Spirit that you already have —   and stay positioned for fresh encounters with Him.
Your Father is a God of liberality, and ‘without measure’ means there is no end to the supply of His Spirit to you.
7. Choose a Wardrobe that Honors God Every Day
‘… put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness’ (Ephesians 4:24b, NIV)
In receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, God has supernaturally clothed us with His power (Acts 2).
The New Testament also makes clear that we have a responsibility to cast off our ‘old self’ with its sinful ways and to wear (put on) our new life in Christ (Ephesians 4:20-32, Romans 13:12).
When we operate in the gifts and power of the Spirit, people are receiving from God through us, so walking in integrity is vital.
Make it your heart’s desire to be sensitive to the person of the Holy Spirit and to live a lifestyle that is compatible with His holiness.
This is not through your own strength, but through the grace which He freely supplies (Romans 8).
See yourself walking in that colorful and powerful garment that is the Person and Presence of the Holy Spirit and His anointing on your life.
And choose a wardrobe that honors Jesus every day.

[1]The Greek word translated ‘clothed’ or ‘endued’ (NKJV) in the Holy Spirit is endyo (G1746). It is used in other parts of the New Testament to describe putting on physical clothing, including the story of the prodigal son, and is also used in the symbolic sense. Matt 6:24, 27:31, Mark 1:6, 6:9. Luke 15:22. For more examples, see https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G1746&t=KJV

MILLENNIALS AND THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - Why Many Millennials Are Starving for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit - Millennials are spiritually hungry and readily accept the supernatural. They want something more than what they are getting from pop culture. Power must be evident through preaching the Word in order to reach this emerging generation.

Millennials are hungrier for the gospel than you might think.

Millennials and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Why Many Millennials Are Starving for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

JARED LASKEY

Children and youth are the largest generation around the world.
There are over 80 million millennials in the United States, which is 34 million more than my generation called X, and is 4 million more people than the Baby Boomers.
Millennials are spiritually hungry and readily accept the supernatural. They want something more than what they are getting from pop culture.
They are bombarded with things to buy and do, but they want to keep their personal identities while desiring for authenticity.
Relevance seemed to be a key term several years ago, but now the youth are not asking for relevance but instead want to be part of an authentic community based on reality which addresses and applies positive change to every aspect of life.
As the church. we can provide their answers for life and provide authentic fellowship.
They will commit to be part of the community before they come to Christ and when His power is on display they will wholeheartedly commit to Him and bring their friends.
The power of God needs to be displayed in all ministries, places of work and homes.
As a youth pastor, I saw many teenagers receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
Once, while out for coffee with a group of teenagers, one asked me about the Holy Spirit. Once we got back into the church van, I sensed the Spirit of God wanting to move.
I led the teen in a simple prayer and she started to beautifully speak in tongues as we traveled back to drop everyone off.
These occurrences took place often. I had a group of student interns in my vehicle returning from an outreach.
While worship music played, one student in the back asked about the topic of speaking in tongues.
While driving, I explained it to her using Scripture and led her in prayer to receive this spiritual gift.
Right then, the student in the passenger seat was filled with the Spirit, and it prompted other students to ask about it.
The young lady who asked didn't receive at that moment, but testified within the week that she was deep in prayer and filled with the Holy Spirit while vacuuming.
God enjoys giving spiritual gifts, even on holidays and birthdays.
One time I was in my church office and received an urgent phone call. A woman in our church told me about her nephew, who was in crisis due to drugs.
She asked me to drop everything and intervene. I arrived at the home and shared the gospel with her nephew, who accepted Jesus and became instantly sober.
Worship music played and I discussed the Spirit baptism from Acts 2:1-4, and the woman from my church said she wanted that to take place in her life.
I led her in a simple prayer, asking for the Spirit to fill her up, and she gloriously received it on her birthday!
A year ago, after preaching on salvation and seeing over 100 young people give their lives to Jesus, I gave a testimony and instruction on the Spirit baptism and its purpose to make us more effective witnesses for Jesus.
Our team moved around, praying for healing and the kids to receive the baptism.
We had testimonies of knee problems and migraines healed as we watched the Spirit of God empower these young students.
With previous generations, I witnessed that people would walk away and leave when someone began to about God's power.
But due to the spiritual hunger of this present generation, I've seen that they they want to experience truth.
Power must be evident through preaching the Word in order to reach this emerging generation.
His promise for the Spirit is for all generations  and it is for you (Acts 2:38-39).
If you have not yet received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, set aside time to worship God and ask Jesus to fill you.
Praise Him, knowing that when you ask, you will receive (Luke 11:13).
When a language you don't know comes to your mind, start speaking it out loud, loud enough for you to hear and as you give Him thanks.
Then, pray in this gift daily and know it has empowered you to tell others about Him.
Also, find several millennials and invest your time with them and share what the incredible Spirit of God has done in your life, pointing them to the Scripture but also taking time to pray with them to receive this great gift.
Mentor them to help them apply the Bible to their life and to walk in the power of God.
The promise is to you, to your children and all generations.
Would you want God to change your life? Would you want to be empowered by the Holy Spirit?
God has made it possible for you to know Him and experience an amazing change in your own life through a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ, and have eternal life.
Say the following prayer:

“Father God, I confess I am a sinner and my sins have separated me from You.
I am truly sorry. I now want to turn away from my past sinful life and live a new life pleasing to You.
Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again.
I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer.
I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Thank You that according to Your Word, I am now born again.
Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. I promise to study Your Word – the Bible.
Use me for Your glory.
In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.”
