TROJAN HORSE ENEMIES IN THE CHURCH - Satan has a Trojan horse filled with hollow philosophies that are destroying our understanding of God - and we Christians have brought this horse into the Church thinking it's a gift. These philosophies are based on human wisdom and they appeal to our fallen human nature because they are self-focused, not God-focused - "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ." - According to legend, thousands of years before Christ, the Greeks ended a 10- year siege of Troy by entering the city in a giant, hollow, wooden horse. The Trojans, thinking the horse a gift, brought it into the city where enemy soldiers crept out at night and opened the gates for the Greek Army. What the Trojans thought was a gift was actually their destruction. Hence the phrase: Beware Greeks bearing gifts. Satan also has a Trojan horse filled with hollow philosophies that are destroying our understanding of God. And we Christians have brought this horse into the Church thinking it's a gift. These philosophies are based on human wisdom and they appeal to our fallen human nature because they are self-focused, not God-focused. That's why Scripture warns us. May God give us strength to fight these false philosophies that have infiltrated the Church.

There are lies infiltrating the Church much like enemies entered the city Troy in ancient times. This 1-minute devotion explains. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

Hi!  I'm Gail Burton Purath. I started Bible Love Notes to give people a minute of Scriptural encouragement in their busy day.
I don't have all the answers, but
since I asked Christ to be my Lord and Savior in 1974, I've been learning from the One Who has all the answers!
I'm still a sinner, a learner, a student who falls down and disappoints God at times. But it's my desire to grow closer to the Lord, day by day, minute by minute.
I need to be challenged, encouraged, corrected and comforted, and I think you do as well...so let's learn together about the love of God--a love that is so vast that we will always be discovering new and wonderful things about it.
