ENLARGE THE PLACE OF THY TENT - The LORD commands His people to enlarge the place of their tent, and stretch the curtains of their homes. It is the LORD speaking, so you can be sure this is not wishful thinking. He is saying we will break forth on every side and expand in every aspect of our lives. This is the same God instructing us to enlarge our tents because we are about to break forth! God is saying we should increase our capacity to handle more than we do. It might begin with the way we think. The Lord is saying today ”enlarge your capacity”! Enlarge your capacity for you are about to break forth! - “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes” - What an instruction from the Lord! He commands His people to enlarge the place of their tent, and stretch the curtains of their homes. Why does He want them to do these? The next verse gives us the reason - “For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited” - Hallelujah! It is the LORD speaking, so you can be sure this is not wishful thinking. He is saying we will break forth on every side and expand in every aspect of our lives. Do you remember the poor widow who was instructed by Elisha to borrow many vessels from her neighbors because oil will be abundant? Well, she borrowed only a few and she ran out of vessels and the oil stopped flowing.

What an instruction from the Lord!

He commands His people to enlarge the place of their tent, and stretch the curtains of their homes.

Why does He want them to do these?

The next verse gives us the reason

“For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited” - (Isaiah 54:3 KJV)

Hallelujah!

It is the LORD speaking, so you can be sure this is not wishful thinking.

He is saying we will break forth on every side and expand in every aspect of our lives.

Do you remember the poor widow in 2 Kings 4 who was instructed by Elisha to borrow many vessels from her neighbors because oil will be abundant?

Well, she borrowed only a few and she ran out of vessels and the oil stopped flowing.

When her capacity was reached, the blessing stopped. She defined the extent of her blessings.

This is the same God instructing us to enlarge our tents because we are about to break forth!

For many of us, this does not mean we should literally get a bigger house.

God is saying we should increase our capacity to handle more than we do.

It might begin with the way we think.

Can you see beyond our current circumstances?

Or, have you ever seen yourself in financial prosperity?

Or have you ever seen yourself flowing in a greater anointing?

Can you handle millions of dollars and still be faithful to God?

If God increases the anointing in your life will you become proud or stay humble as you have always been?

As the Apostle Paul says, he had learned to do all things.

He could be rich or poor but His love for God will not be affected.

This is where God wants you to be.

You can be sure there are some of us in the house that if God puts money in their hands, their spiritual lives will be ruined. They are not ready.

However, the Lord is saying today ”enlarge your capacity”!

What needs to be enlarged in your life to contain God’s blessings?

APPLY THE WORD

Some of you reading this devotional today and praying for a baby should go and purchase baby things!

Maybe you are looking for a specific job and have prayed about it. Start preparing yourself for work!

You might need to get your work clothes together!

Maybe your issue might simply be to start seeing yourself healed, or delivered or financially prosperous!

Enlarge your capacity for you are about to break forth!
