Casting Your Cares on Him

Hello
dear friend.
Whatever
trial you may be facing … and no matter how difficult your life may be right
now … I want you to know in your heart of hearts:
God Is Your Faithful Provider!
The
Lord has been reminding me of this lately, and I want to remind you as well.
He
is the only One who can make something out of nothing, joy out of sorrow, and
hope out of despair.
We
can trust Him with everything that concerns us.
Do
you ever get scared? I know we aren’t supposed to say negative things, but I
have to be real and admit that I do get scared sometimes.
There
are some things we just can’t control. In fact, there are many things
we can’t control.
When
we’re faced with a painful situation that could impact our entire life, it’s
just our nature to want to fix it right away.
At
such times, fear can grip us and smother our hope.
Eventually
we discover there are some circumstances that human solutions can’t fix.
That’s
when we find out what we really believe and, as my dad used to say, what we’re
really made of.
So
what are we to do when we find ourselves in overwhelming circumstances?
He’s All We Need
I have a plaque that I love. It says:
“Just when you find He is all you have,
you will find He is all you need.”
you will find He is all you need.”
That
is so true.
Here
in America and in many places around the world, the economy has struggled in
recent years.
Even
though our political leaders keep saying the government has what we need to get
out of our economic malaise, you and I both know that the politicians aren’t
able to provide the real answer.
There
is only ONE answer, and that is trusting the Lord to
be your Provider … your Jehovah-Jireh (Genesis 22:13-14)!
And
He also wants you to know that …
… in sickness,
He’s your Jehovah-Rapha, the One who heals
you (Exodus 15:26).
… in despair,
He’s your Jehovah-Shalom, your peace (Judges 6:24).
… in loneliness - when no one
knows what you’re going through - He’s your El Roi,
the strong One who sees (Genesis 16:13).
Father
God, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit -they’re all we
really need. This becomes especially clear when we’re in the middle
of a crisis.
Like
you, I know what it’s like to go through a crisis. So you’re not alone in what
you may be dealing with today.
Through
it all, I’ve discovered that in His presence I’m safe from whatever storms come
my way.
He
is my Provision, and His joy is my strength (Nehemiah
8:10).
When
fear tries to overtake my mind, as it so often does, I run to His presence and
remind Him of His Word over my life.
So
remember: We can trust Jesus to provide for us in every area
of our lives.
I encourage you today to heed the wonderful advice in 1
Peter 5:7: “Cast all
your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Don’t
despair, dear friend. The more you explore God’s Word and claim His promises
over your circumstances, the stronger your faith will grow that He truly IS
your Provider…your Healer…and your Peace.
