‘A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.’ - (Psalm 91:7)

Blessed child of God, know that you’re under God’s protection today.

Rest under the shadow of the Almighty.

His favour upon you follows you everywhere you go for you are a conduit for His blessings.

Therefore, you’ll flourish and prosper in all thing, even as your soul prospers, no matter where you are, or what’s happening around you.

Whatever situation you find yourself in today, know that God will lift you up. His very presence goes with you to straighten the path.

Be comforted in the fact that the omnipotent God of the universe is right beside you. Protecting you. Helping you. Loving you.

Be Greatly Blessed!

Prayer:

Father, thank you for your protection, blessings, and favour.

When things seem to be difficult, help me to remember that you’re bigger than whatever problem I’m facing.

You’re my Sustainer and Provider and I depend entirely upon you to help me flourish and grow, wherever I am.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name,

AMEN!

Additional Thoughts:

Jesus wants us to live a full, flourishing life.

‘I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’ - (John 10:10)

But yet, when we look around us, we see a world full of problems.

Health concerns, broken marriages, financial crises, death, disease, persecution.

The world around us may not be one that is flourishing, and may even seem to be failing.

It is even possible to flourish when our world is tumbling down around us?

How can we be joyous in that place?

In 2 Corinthians 8 Paul writes about the churches in Macedonia. Specifically, the congregations in Thessalonica, Philippi and Berea.

These Christians had more than enough difficulties to contend with. Poverty and persecution were all around them.

But instead of being discouraged and withdrawing into their own selves, they were not only flourishing in their faith and their love for others, but they were overflowing with joy and willingness to give as much as they could.

Paul indicates that because of the rich grace given to the Macedonian church by God they were able to flourish and find contentment in their circumstances.

They were so full and overflowing with this joy they had in fellowship with Christ that they opened their hearts wide and contributed financially to the relief of the Christians in Jerusalem.

Flourishing can happen even in the darkest areas, if we choose to abide closely in the Rock of our Salvation.

Stuff happens. Crises crop up. They are not planned. They just seem to happen around us.

Yet, God promises to protect and prosper us, even amidst all the evil happenings around us.

It is these difficult times that God uses to shape us into something greater.

Whatever the dark place looks like, it can become our epiphany moment.

The moment where we choose to say, ‘This will shape me, not bring me undone. This will make me better, not bitter, this will draw me closer to God, not further from Him. This will mould me into a more authentic, honest person. This will transform me as I completely and utterly abandon myself to God.’

Are we flourishing or struggling in places of difficulty?

If we are struggling, then let go and rest. Allow God to work His miracles in and through us.

Trust in His protection, blessings, and favour.

Get to know more about our wonderful God and His amazing ways.

As we stay close to Him, we will move from struggling to flourishing.

And you’ll prosper, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, even in the most difficult places.

IN THE MIDST OF LIFE STRUGGLES: LOOK UP - No matter what we face in this life, God’s still on the throne. God is a mountain mover and Creator of heaven and earth. He's with us, always. He breathes help and strength into our souls, into our day. He won't allow us to fall. We may find ourselves on slippery slopes, or the path we're walking seems to be full of potholes and obstacles. He keeps us, safe, in His care. He protects us like the shade protects from the heat of the day. Fear of death, disease, and hardship has lost its sting, for our lives are hidden with Christ in God. God's power is greater than whatever darkness we might face. He watches our coming and our going, and all in between. He watches over our family and children, even when we cannot see. We do not have to worry, for He strongly supports those whose hearts are His. He knows our way in this journey of life, and He’s a “with us” God.

In the Midst of Life Struggles: Look Up
by Debbie McDaniel

"I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2

There’s so much in this life we can start to feel anxious about, even when we know God’s truth and believe that He’s in control.
It can still be a daily battle in our hearts, in our minds.
When we just keep looking all around us, we can easily get defeated. Drained. Impatient. Cynical.
We may find ourselves wrestling with worry. Fear might creep in.
We lose our focus because we're so distracted on all the things that can never really give us strength and hope anyway.
People won’t ever be the answer for our every need.
Money, possessions, or success can’t ever satisfy the void deep inside that only God can fill.
This world will never be free of all conflict.
The government won’t ever fix all of our problems. It can’t. Because no matter who is President, no matter what we face in this life, God’s still on the throne.
5 Reminders of Hope from Psalm 121:
"My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." verse 2
He's All-powerful. God is a mountain mover and Creator of heaven and earth. He's with us, always. He breathes help and strength into our souls, into our day.
"He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber." verse 3
He won't allow us to fall. We may find ourselves on slippery slopes, or the path we're walking seems to be full of potholes and obstacles.
But the God who knows all, knows our way.
And even when we stumble, as our eyes are fixed on Him, He will keep our footsteps firm. For He watches over us and never sleeps or slumbers.
"The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand." verse 5
He keeps us, safe, in His care. He protects us like the shade protects from the heat of the day.
   Why the "right hand?"
Because it is known as the hand that works, so we can be assured that whatever He's given us to do in this life, His covering of protection rests over all of our work and efforts.
"The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul." verse 7
He protects us from "all evil," not some, but "all."
It does not have the final say over our lives. Fear of death, disease, and hardship has lost its sting, for our lives are hidden with Christ in God.
No matter who or what we're rubbing shoulders with each day, God's power is greater than whatever darkness we might face.
For He is the soul-keeper and He holds all of our tomorrows.
"The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever." verse 8
He watches over us, constantly, His eyes are towards us. He cannot look away from those He loves.
He watches our coming and our going, and all in between. He watches over our family and children, even when we cannot see.
We do not have to worry, for He strongly supports those whose hearts are His.
Intersecting Faith & Life: It often comes down to a choice.
Let’s choose, no matter what swirls around us, to set our eyes on God.
For if He made all of heaven and earth surely, He has a Sovereign, incredible plan, for you and for me.
He knows our way in this journey of life, and He’s a “with us” God.
Keep remembering today: Look up.
He alone is where our hope is found!

THE ANGELS THAT PROTECT YOU - Spend time getting to know the angels that protect you - Every guardian angel is like a nurturing mother, an archetypal mother — the "perfect" mother. This mother would always be running after her child, doing her best to keep the child safe. She would certainly take an active interest in the child's life, following their earthly journey closely. This is how guardian angels feel about you, the way a doting mother feels about her child. And just like the best of mothers, a guardian angel's love is unconditional. Guardian angels can give comfort, offer guidance and bring people and opportunities into your life. Yet there are also many limitations regarding what guardian angels can do for you. Angels normally respect our free-will choices to believe about this life, and navigate it, how we see fit. The Angels That Protect You
7 Things You Should Know About Guardian Angels
Angel PrayingSpend time getting to know the angels that protect you.
By Tanya Carroll Richardson

Spirit assigned you guardian angels (we all have more than one) before you were even born.
Unlike archangels and helper angels, guardian angels are yours exclusively. Think of your guardian angels like private detectives, but they only have one case — you!
Every guardian angel is like a nurturing mother, an archetypal mother—the "perfect" mother.
This article will enable you to get more out of your relationship with guardian angels, including shedding some light on who guardian angels really are and what motivates them.
Guardian Angels are Nondenominational
Angels aren't just for Christians. Guardian angels work with people of all faiths: Jewish, Pagan, Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, and, of course, Christians! Angels also work with people who are spiritual but do not identify with any one religion.
If everyone was assigned guardian angels before they were born, this makes perfect sense. It's also worth noting that angels do not have one favored spiritual tradition.
The angels are mainly concerned with the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
How about atheists? Do they have guardian angels? Yes.
However, because we are powerful spiritual beings given free will by Spirit, angels normally respect our free-will choices to believe about this life, and navigate it, how we see fit.
As long as someone's beliefs aren't hurting themselves or anyone else, angels respect these beliefs, and urge you to do the same.
Guardian Angels Have Hearts and Souls
It's tempting to think of guardian angels as one-dimensional props, or genies in a bottle that are here to grant wishes.
holding heartWe might also think that angels—beings of light who can travel freely back and forth between heaven and earth—as so different from humans that we have nothing in common.
The angels might remind us of the 1960s TV program I Dream of Jeannie. An astronaut stumbles upon an old bottle with a genie living inside.
This genie can appear and disappear in the blink of an eye, just as angels are not bound by the physical laws of earth.
Yet in other ways this genie is very much like humans: She has a big heart and can be very emotional. This genie who grants wishes is actually very soulful, just like angels.
Angels are actually highly emotional creatures, which makes sense as their job is to display great mercy and compassion toward humanity.
Angels are very sensitive to the emotions of others, and their emotional outer layer is like the thin skin of a grape. When you are in pain, so are your guardian angels.
Yet even though angels feel emotions so acutely, guardian angels will often take on some of our suffering so we do not have to feel it all, or feel it all alone.
But never fear, angels are emotional experts and very powerful, so they would never take on more than they can handle!
Asking Guardian Angels for Help Gives Them the Freedom to Help More
Angels, especially guardian angels, are always buzzing around, looking for ways to make your earthly journey more interesting, dynamic and satisfying.
So even people who never pray, or never ask angels for assistance, are constantly benefiting from angelic intervention.
Guardian angels, invited or not, will certainly show up for those pivotal moments in your life, as well as all the little moments in between.
However, humans are powerful spiritual beings, and thus have been granted free will so that we can make many of the decisions about our earthly journey.
One of the most significant decisions we can make is to interact more with our guardian angels. This is as simple as briefly and informally addressing them in your thoughts, prayers or journal.
When you ask guardian angels to intervene and help you with something specific, it gives them more leeway to assist you.
That is because angels will, almost always, honor your free-will choices — unless they know your free-will choice will be very detrimental to you or others, or be a major detour away from your highest good.
So, use that powerful free will to help yourself: Ask your guardian angels for extra guidance and support.
Tell guardian angels exactly what you want assistance with: romance, finances, health, career. Then watch for their messages!
Guardian Angels Chose You
Part of the reason guardian angels are so devoted to you is because they chose you.
The vow your guardian angels took to stand by your side and guide you through life was a very sacred one made with heaven and Spirit itself as witness.
While guardian angels feel a strong sense of duty toward their charges, really their devotion is based on pure love.
Angels have a rare capacity for love, and guardian angels decided to pour their love onto you and your life because they respect, and sometimes share an affinity with, your soul.
Imagine a bunch of adorable puppies in the window of a pet store. They are crawling all over each other, wagging their tails and being super cute.
Even though each animal is sweet, usually one puppy in particular will seem to call your name and tug at your heart.
The same thing happened when your guardian angels saw you. They fell in love and couldn’t resist taking you home!
Guardian Angels Know You Better than Anyone
Guardian angels have been with you since before you were born, when you were a soul floating around in heaven.
Therefore they know you extremely well, because they know the "real" you, not just the culture, time period and physical body you are working with now.
If the concept of past lives resonates with you, it is possible that your guardian angels have been with you during several of your past journeys on earth too.
Guardian angels are very close to Spirit, so they have access to all the destinations and experiences and relationships Spirit planned out for you on earth, which you might think of as your soul coordinates.
Guardian angels also know what you came to earth to learn and teach.
Most of all, guardian angels can see straight into your heart. So they are privy to your deepest desires and your most troubling fears.
Ask your guardian angels for help with anything that is weighing on your heart, and when you ask them for guidance know that you are receiving advice from angels who are experts on you!
Guardian Angels are with You Through Thick and Thin
Angels will never abandon you, and guardian angels especially stick closely by your side.
In times of crisis—whether you are in the hospital, in court, in despair or in a jail cell — your guardian angels will be faithfully supporting and loving you. Guardian angels are nearer than ever when you are in need.
Unlike humans, guardian angels do not judge. They see all our mistakes for what they are—just mistakes.
Guardian angels know humans are fallible and that we are often doing the best we can. And when we aren't at our best, or perhaps do something terrible, a guardian angel's forgiveness is like that of Spirit — unconditional.
You don’t have to earn a guardian angel’s eternal love—it is given freely and it is your birthright.
You Have More than One Guardian Angel
Popular culture often depicts guardian angels as being on a solo mission, but in fact everyone has more than one guardian angel.
The number of guardian angels assigned to you depends upon your life circumstances and your soul’s goals. But three or four is a common number of guardian angels for one human.
Guardian angels each have their own unique personality, just like humans. After working with your guardian angels closely you can begin to discern their personalities.
A guardian angel might be, for example, playful, protective, sensitive, wise, creative, humble, serious, gentle, funny, strong, flamboyant or any combination of these and many other traits.
Guardian Angels Want You to Communicate with Them
You can get to know your guardian angels by bonding with them: read books about angels, listen to music with the word "angel" in the lyrics, pen journal entries to your guardian angels, give your guardian angels names, collect angel-themed jewelry.
Spend a little time simply acknowledging your guardian angels and you will become very good friends! Then angelic communication will happen naturally.
