The dictionary defines a miracle as “an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.”

Perhaps that’s what you need in some area of your life today: God’s supernatural intervention.

If so, you can be confident in His power to supernaturally turn things around for you.

John 5 tells the story of a man who had been crippled for 38 years.

Desperate to be healed, he longed to step into the anointed pool of Bethesda when it was stirred by angels.

But the man faced a dilemma. His disability made it impossible to quickly push through the crowd and be the first one to touch the water.

Realizing he could never be healed in his own strength, the man must have felt hopeless at times.

But one day Jesus came on the scene and changed everything. Seeing the man lying near the pool, the Master declared, “Rise, take up your bed, and walk” (verse 8).

After 38 years of suffering, the man no longer was crippled!

We’re also told of a woman who had been severely hemorrhaging for 12 years.

After spending all her money on endless doctor visits, she only got worse.

However, when she saw Jesus in her town, she figured out a plan. “She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped” (Luke 8:44 NIV).

Her medical condition was impossible for doctors to solve, but it was no problem for the Great Physician.

So, don’t give up, my friend. Whatever you’re going through, God has a miracle for you!

At the Pool of Bethesda “lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water” (John 5:3).

Each one of these sick people was desperate for a miracle, and many Bible translations include an explanation about why they continued to wait by this pool: “An angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had” (verse 4).

Although it may seem odd to sit around waiting for an angel to come and bring your miracle, I find that many people today are waiting for something to happen before they can experience their turnaround.

Some are waiting for their doctors to perform a medical procedure.

Others are waiting for a new job or hoping for their boss to give them a promotion and a raise.

And some are waiting for the perfect marriage partner to come on the scene to end their loneliness and make them happy.

If YOU are waiting for something today, I hope you’ll stay with me for the rest of this important story…

The scene at the Pool of Bethesda shifts to focus on one particular man who is awaiting his miracle:

“Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, ‘Do you want to be made well?’” (verses 5-6)

Jesus had some nerve in asking this question, didn’t He?

After all, the man was obviously physically impaired, and Jesus knew he had been that way a long time — 38 years to be exact.

He was lying among a multitude of people who were seeking a healing, so wasn’t it clear that he wanted to be made well?

There’s a point here that you need to understand. Sometimes we claim to want a miracle, but we’re not really willing to believe God and take action on His promises.

We’re hanging around the waters of God’s supernatural power, yet never actually jumping in.

I encourage you to stop for a moment before you even read the rest of this article.

Ask the Lord to prepare your heart to receive a breakthrough.

And make sure you are willing to follow whatever instructions He gives you for how that miracle will be released in your life.

Eliminating Excuses

The sick man at the Pool of Bethesda assured Jesus that he had a perfectly good excuse for not getting into the water: “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me” (verse 7).

Perhaps you have some excuses for your inaction too.

But be clear on this: You can’t just sit on the sidelines and make excuses, hoping God’s favor will somehow find you. 

Steps of faith will almost always be necessary to release His miracles in your life — and often He will tell you to do something that seems humanly impossible!

Jesus told the man to do something that was clearly impossible for him to do in his own strength. 

“Rise, take up your bed and walk,” the Lord commanded (verse 8).

To everyone’s amazement, “the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked” (verse 9).

Friend, we serve a God who delights in doing amazing things in the lives of His people.

Not only does He want to amaze you, but He also wants the watching world to see His miracle-working power manifested in your life.

Don’t give up praying and believing for the breakthrough you need, whether in your health, your finances, your emotions, or your family.

No Need for Endless Waiting

Because of Jesus’ work on the Cross, He has already defeated the enemy and broken the power of sin, sickness, and death.

That means you don’t have to wait for an angel to come and bring your miracle. Jesus is already with you, and He is offering to empower you to do the impossible.

This can be your breakthrough moment.

You don’t need to sit at the edge of the healing waters any longer.

God is already stirring the healing waters for you TODAY… opening awesome doors for you to receive the fullness of His salvation, deliverance, abundance, healing, and eternal life.

So, go ahead and jump into the miracle waters purchased for you by Jesus’ Cross and Resurrection.

God is stirring the waters so you can receive the supernatural breakthrough you need.

When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had been sick for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to be made well?” (John 5:6)

How good is the God you believe in?

As the day draws to a close, meditate again on His goodness and grace.

Were there things that troubled you today? Were there situations that seemed hopeless?

It’s time to let them go, into the hands of God.

In John 5, we read that a man who laid by the pool of Bethesda was sick for thirty-eight years.

He laid there hoping that he could get into the pool when the angels stirred the water, so that he may get well.

But there was no one to carry him into the pool.

So, he could only watch as others got healed. While he lay there powerless.

Can you imagine how hopeless he must have felt?

That is, until he met Jesus!

Jesus simply asked the man, “Do you want to be made well?”

With one, command, Jesus said, “Arise, take up your mat, and walk.”

And “Immediately, the man was made well, and took up his mat and walked.” (John 5:9)

After years of hopelessness, yearning, pining, desperate for a healing, all he could do was lie and see others get healed.

Yet, the moment he met Jesus he was instantly healed!

What have you been pining for?

Does it seem like the blessings you want always end up in someone else’s house?

Maybe some of them don’t even seem godly at all, yet they seem to be blessed?

Well, God is asking you not to lose hope today.

With one Word from Jesus, everything can turn around in an instant.

Whether you need healing in your body, your finances or your relationships, one Word from Jesus is all you need.

Remember, victory is already yours through the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hold fast to the hope and see the promises of God come to pass in your life.

Be Greatly Blessed!

Action Steps:

Place your hope in the finished work of Jesus – not on what your eyes see or your senses feel.

Hope gives birth to faith.

And faith gives birth to the manifestations of God’s promises. (Faith is the substance of things hoped for.)

The first fruits of your miracles usually come through a sense of peace, hope, and love.

As you meditate on the Word of God, let His promises take root in your heart.

Whenever you’re tempted to lose hope, bring God’s promises to mind.

But don’t just repeat the verses mindlessly. Instead, let each word marinate in your spirit.

See, hear, feel, what it’d be like if your prayer already came true.

What’d it be like if you’re already healed?

If you’re already prosperous? If you’re already in a happy relationship? If you’re already righteous?

For all of the above are already true.

And when you choose to believe God’s word over the illusions of the world, you’re watering the seedlings of hope and faith.

Allow the seedling of your hope to bloom into a luscious tree and you’ll surely see His promises come to pass in your life.

Prayer:

Father, I admit that there are times when I lose hope.

There are times when I’m not sure whether you’re listening, or whether you even care.

But I know Lord that those are the thoughts of my flesh.

For your Word says that you’re always with me. You’re closer to me than my very breath.

And before I even utter a word, you already know my heart.

How then can I lose hope? When I know that you’re planning the way ahead for me.

You’ve gone ahead to prepare the way for me.

You’re my hope and my strength Lord. In you I rest my faith.

I see now all the promises and all the treasures you’ve laid up for me.

The health, the abundance, the security, the joy, the love, the wholeness, the shalom peace.

All purchased for me with the Blood of Jesus Christ.

I receive them all now.

In Jesus’ mighty Name.

Prophetic Dream of Intimidation

I had a recent dream that I have been praying about and getting input from other prophetic voices and received some insight, when the Lord gave me a Scripture suddenly about my dream:

Acts 3:1-6, “Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

“And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, ‘Look on us.’ And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.’

In the dream, I was in a type of math class, only everyone was sitting around on the floor trying to get their test done.

I was having major issues putting two and two together in this dream, and I knew some health issues were the cause of me feeling so overwhelmed.

Also, I began to feel very embarrassed because I felt so intimidated by the teachers that were there and I knew this was why I could not think in this dream.

My lack of concentration was due to being intimidated. This intimidation can be interpreted as a "fear of men" that will cause us to not be promoted into our destiny.

An Angel Called Bella (Beautiful)

In the dream, I got up from being embarrassed and got on an old 1950's bicycle with rusty-looking metal.

When I got on the bicycle, the two little valves that hold the air in the tires popped off and the air started coming out of the tires very slowly (indicating that these things would stop me from going forward).

I jumped off the bicycle in a panic, trying to find the valves, but couldn't see well enough to find them.

Suddenly, I saw this lady walking over to me... she was a beautiful African-American woman that was glowing from the inside out with the glory and I saw the fruit of the Spirit shining through her.

I asked her what her name was and the others yelled, "It is Bella!" Bella means "Beautiful" in Spanish.

Bella was an angel in my dream and I believe God was trying to get something across that needed to come from a motherly perspective.

Bella bent down and looked into my face as if to say, "I am here to help you so that you won't be stopped by these issues and you can go forward!"

I then woke up!

The Beautiful Gate - Miracles and Pools of Healing!

When telling this dream to another prophetic friend, God began to reveal some things to me.

He had me look up a couple of Scriptures. He reminded me of the man that was healed at the Beautiful Gate in Acts 3 and how he had been begging for 38 years.

Then God reminded me of the man at the pool that was there many years and was healed there by the beautiful Gate.

The Lord began to show me the man at the Beautiful Gate who waited on the stirring of the waters by an angel named "The Angel of the Beautiful Gate" and He said, "This angel was called Beautiful - Bella."

He showed me this because it was the same angel in my dream that was going to help me with my healing, so that I could fulfill my destiny.

He showed me that there are many angels in many places that are stirring the water, so to speak, for the healing miracles that are taking place.

There is a portal of time, like unto the pool of Bethesda in John 5, when the waters were stirred and many were healed if they could get in the pool.

These pools of healing will be those places where the Spirit of God has set up residence because of the praises of God's people and where they have been praying and decreeing His word over their region!

These angels have been hearkening to the voice of the word of God that has been sung and spoken over the people as was in Psalm 103.

The Lord is saying that there will be places which will be "pools of healing miracles" and God is going to set people free of many diseases that they thought they would never be healed of!

Then He showed me many will be healed of these hard things and it will be so suddenly that many will be astounded at the healings!

I also believe God is saying that what happened at Azusa Street many years ago is about to happen again! There will be thousands coming to receive the precious Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

There is a portal of healing opening up and God is about to manifest in the Body of Christ as "THE HEALER" for many who have had long-term diseases that they have prayed about for years. 

He is also going to reveal some roots to our sicknesses such as fear of men (as I dealt with intimidation in my dream). These have been things that are holding many back from walking in their full destiny.

Truly the Latter House will be greater than the former House, and the Glory of God will be seen like it never has upon the Earth!
