THE SUN ALWAYS SHINES - The Blessings of God are Always Present - There’s something about the sun that makes me feel good. Nothing can inspire me to hop out of bed on a clear day more than a beautiful sunrise. What will you use as motivation to remain strong in the Lord when you see no evidence of God’s presence in your life? The gloom that blocks out the sun’s rays on cloudy days seems to zap my strength. Yet even on the darkest of days, the sun still shines. While the sun makes it easy to get the day started, cold, dark and gloomy days require me to depend on strength from within to get my day started and move me to do the things that I need to get done. The sun could be seen as the blessing of God. The sun could be seen as a great financial blessing. The sun could be seen as the outcome of answered prayer in your life. It’s easy to be motivated, praise God, and live a life of worship when you can see or feel what you perceive to be a positive outcome to your individual situation.

The Sun Always Shines
The Blessings of God are Always Present

The sun has never gone out. Since Genesis Chapter 1, the sun has continuously shown bright.
The sun has never taken a break. It’s never dimmed and of course it hasn’t burned out.
Even on cloudy days or in the midst of storms, if you were to board an aircraft and rise above the clouds you would see the sun shining brightly as it has since the beginning of time.
Motivating Properties of the Sun
There’s something about the sun that makes me feel good. Nothing can inspire me to hop out of bed on a clear day more than a beautiful sunrise.
Likewise, nothing makes me want to pull the covers over my head and hibernate in bed more than a cold, gloomy morning.
What will you use as motivation to remain strong in the Lord when you see no evidence of God’s presence in your life?
The gloom that blocks out the sun’s rays on cloudy days seems to zap my strength requiring me to dig deep down within me for motivation to get my day started.
Yet even on the darkest of days, the sun still shines.
While the sun makes it easy to get the day started, cold, dark and gloomy days require me to depend on strength from within to get my day started and move me to do the things that I need to get done.
In this analogy, the sun could be seen as the blessing of God. The sun could be seen as healing for your body.
The sun could be seen as a great financial blessing. In this post, the sun could be seen as the outcome of answered prayer in your life.
It’s easy to be motivated, praise God, and live a life of worship when you can see or feel what you perceive to be a positive outcome to your individual situation, just as it’s easy for me to get out of bed at the first sign of the sun in the morning.
What’s more important is how you conduct your life when all you can see around you is gloom.
What will be your motivation to solder on when there is no sign of the blessing of God in your life?
What Motivates You?
Like the sun, the blessings that God has bestowed upon you will always be present.
God’s provision for your life, the health that Jesus provided for you by His death on the cross, even the very presence of God in your life is a constant.
Like the sun, what God has done for us through His Son Jesus will always be a part of our lives.
But also like the sun on a cloudy day, God’s presence in our lives may not always be seen.
Your failure to see God’s presence in your life in no way means that He isn’t present.
What will you use as motivation to remain strong in the Lord when you see no evidence of God’s presence in your life?
The key to seeing the presence of God in your life isn’t actually seeing at all. We must move past seeing and move into the realm of knowing.
Knowing the reality of God’s Word in your life regardless of what you see or how you feel takes faith to a whole new level.
Knowing the reality of God’s Word in your life also requires a level of commitment.
Commitment to turn off the TV and tune out the “believing un-believers” and meditate on God’s Word day and night (Joshua 1:8).
The storms of life will come. There will be plenty of mornings when it may seem that the sun isn’t shining in your life.
Will you curl up in bed and pull the covers over your head?
Or will you rise from your situation, knowing in your heart that the “Son” is shining in your life regardless of if you can see His presence or not?
I encourage you to become rooted and grounded in God’s Word.
God’s Word is true because it’s His Word. No evidence is required and no proof is needed.
We are His peculiar people in that we walk by faith, not by sight! 2 Corinthians 5:7.
