This is the time
When true worshipers will worship
These are the days
When my Father's ways will be known to men
This is the hour
When the spirit's power will move again
As we worship You in spirit and in truth
Lord we worship You in spirit and in truth
Lord we worship You in spirit and in truth

Chorus:

Holy, Holy, Holy is Your name
Worthy, worthy, let all the earth proclaim
Mighty, mighty, there is no God like You
And we worship You in spirit and in truth

Terry MacAlmon
Terry's was the life that almost wasn't. Upon his birth the doctor informed his parents that he would likely not live through his first month due to cranial stenosis (a premature closure of the soft spot in his head). His mother remembers pacing the floor with him every day and praying, "Lord, if You let him live, I will give him to You for Your service." The Lord heard a mother's cry and miraculously healed her baby. Terry believes that he not only received the gift of life at that time but also a special anointing and gift of music.
It was at the age of three that Terry's mom began sitting him on the piano bench to occupy him while she looked after his brothers. Terry quickly began to discover the notes of "Jesus Loves Me," a song he had learned in Sunday School. A steady progression took place. By the time he was five, he played his first solo in church.
The gift continued to develop; Terry became the church pianist at the age of 11. Winning state and national talent awards in his denomination became a regular event during Terry's teenage years.
It was in the summer of 1973 when Terry had a very unusual visitation from the Lord after an evening service at a youth retreat. He recalls, "It was as if God's presence was sitting on me like a cloud. His presence was so heavy that I physically could not even lift my head. I just knelt and trembled while His Spirit dealt with me. I knew that He was placing His mantle of worship upon me. I have never been the same since that special August night."
The next 17 years of Terry's life were spent serving in music ministry positions for several churches and traveling in concert work across America. Then, in December of 1990, Terry moved his family to Colorado Springs. They started a church with a vision of raising Jesus up through worship over the city. Instead of a successful ministry venture, it was the beginning of a long season of wilderness for the MacAlmons.
Terry describes it like this: "We threw a worship party, and nobody came. In fact, they stayed away by the busloads!" After waiting on the Lord's promotion for 8 years, Terry heard God speak to him in August of 1998. He said to gather the worshipers, for He wanted to bring an open heaven to Colorado Springs. Terry was reluctant to step out again after so many years of seeing nothing happen. He finally did launch a Wednesday noon worship hour at the Spirit's insistence, which became known as "Lunch with the Lord". For more than 6 years, it touched several hundred people each week.
An accomplished songwriter and recording artist, Terry is called to lead and teach praise and worship to fellow believers everywhere. The path to the throne room is a familiar one for Terry, who is sensitive to the ebb and flow of the Spirit. He makes others comfortable with entering into the Lord's presence. They are then drawn into a place of deeper intimacy with the Lord.
Terry now sees the hand of God through all of the waiting. He freely shares in his seminars, "I had the Lord's vision, but I never bothered to seek Him for His timing. The increase came when He chose for it to happen in our city. It's all God, all the time. Man is but a vessel, a channel for God's anointing to flow through. I'm very thankful He chose to flow through me at this hour."

A Journey with Jesus...

Going all the way back to his birth when he was not expected to live past the first month of life, God’s grace was present. Raised in a Christian home, Terry was a child prodigy, playing the piano with amazing ability from the age of three. Throughout Terry's early years and adolescence, he had repeated visitations from the Holy Spirit as he would play the piano and organ for church services in Lexington, KY. "God would often come upon me so powerfully I would begin to tremble, barely able to keep my fingers on the keys during an offertory on Sunday morning," recalls Terry. Thru the early adult years of his life, Terry ministered as a staff pastor in different churches of the Assemblies of God, then moved more into independent charismatic churches in the 1980s and 90s. It was during that time that Terry sat quietly in a prayer room on a Sunday evening, waited on God then began to write the now famous chorus, I Sing Praises to Your Name. Following that came songs such as Holy Are You Lord, Even So, How We Need the River and many more favorites still being sung today.
The main event of Terry's ministry career and international platform came after a long wilderness season and in 1998, Terry began what soon became known as Lunch with the Lord, a noon worship hour on Wednesdays in Colorado Springs. People from all walks of life and church backgrounds began to fill the World Prayer Center's chapel every week, often lining the walls to just spend an hour in the presence of the Lord. Bodies were healed, relationships were reconciled, broken hearts were mended. Six years of these meetings, along with the annual Pikes Peak Worship Festival, hosted by Terry's ministry, brought forth 7 worship CDs with a rare capture of the anointing of God that is still touching hundreds of thousands around the world. Terry admits, "I had no idea what the Lord was going to do with these recordings. I have been the most amazed of anyone to watch over 2 million units be distributed around the world. The testimonies still come in, many of them miraculous in nature. Terry readily admits "There is NOTHING like the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  I give Him all the glory for the work He has done and continues to do." Terry now has authored 18 CDs in his career and is still going strong as the Spirit continues to lead Him.
On the personal side of Terry, following a difficult season of life God brought a beautiful lady into the picture and Terry and Liz MacAlmon were married in December of 2010.  Liz sings beautifully in her own right and is featured in Terry’s devotional series, The Refreshing, Vol 1 and 2, as well as doing backup vocals on those same projects.  The MacAlmons make their home and headquarters in Dallas, TX.  Ministry products continue to flow from Terry’s heart.  In April 2018, Terry released a new live worship CD, All The Glory, Live Worship From Trinidad/Tobago, that he feels may be the most powerful live worship CD he has recorded to date.  And in early 2019 Terry released his first book, “30 Seconds In His Presence” which is full of encounters with the Holy Spirit and instruction for better worship, both personally and corporately.  At the present time, Terry is busy organizing the first ever event of its kind - Sing Over America - a national worship gathering, to be held in Dallas in May of 2020.  He is calling on worshipers from every state to be a part of this critical assembly to exalt Jesus over our land at such a crucial time in history.  In the midst of this new vision, the MacAlmons continue to travel across the U.S. and around the world seeking the manifest presence of God in their services.

Terry MacAlmon (born May 12, 1955) is an American Christian songwriter, recording artist and worship leader. He is the founder and president of New Glory International, a worship ministry based in Dallas, Texas. He leads worship in conferences, retreats, worship seminars, and churches in the United States and abroad.
MacAlmon announced in May 2008, in a letter to ministry supporters, that he was stepping down from his own ministry after having an extramarital affair, saying "I don't have a timeline as to if or when I will return to ministry, but I know I cannot go forward with my soul in this condition."[ His former wife Greta said at the time that she had planned to file for legal separation, saying counseling and a restoration process had failed, but believing that he and his ministry would one day be restored.[ The couple were divorced in April 2009, and MacAlmon returned to active ministry in 2010.[3]
