Second Touches
Do You Need a Second Touch?
by Ayo Aoritsejafor
One of the most
intriguing stories in the Bible is found in Mark 8:22-26, where a blind man was
brought to Jesus for healing.
After laying His
hands on this man, Jesus asked if he could now see anything.
“I see men like trees, walking,” the man replied (verse 24).
Recognizing that the healing wasn’t yet complete, Jesus
again touched his eyes, “And he was restored and saw everyone clearly” (verse 25).
Just like the man in
this story, many of God’s people today are in need of a “second touch.”
Perhaps they’ve
already experienced a partial healing or a partial breakthrough in their
marriage, children, finances, or emotions.
But Jesus wants to
touch them again and complete the healing process.
Whatever your issue
may be, Jesus wants to give you a new beginning… a fresh start… a brand new day.
Even long-standing
problems can be remedied in mere moments but you must draw near and receive His
healing touch until your turnaround comes.
Coming Alive Again
In 2 Kings 13:21 a
dead man is dropped into the grave of the prophet Elisha. As soon as his dead
body hit the bones of the man of God, he came back to life!
Today, you may feel as
if your business is dead, your marriage is dead, your health is dead, or even
your hope is dead.
But I have good news:
You can come alive again! The resurrection power of Christ can reverse every
“dead” situation in your life!
Remember: Nothing is
too difficult for the Lord (Jeremiah 32:27).
He can turn your
mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11) … your ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3) … and your nighttime into a bright new day.
