TREES – THE BEAUTY AND THE WONDER - I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray; A tree that may in Summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree. Be Like a Tree... A tree, though standing still and on a windless day with not even a rustling leaf is still erect and majestic - host to winged creatures that in the sky frolic. We can be like a tree by being still and patient - under a heavy burden in times of challenges, we should not waver but strive for success! Plant hobbyists know that the most beautiful miniature trees are found in high cliffs and rock mountains. These trees have endured the parched environment and strong winds and have developed tough and gnarled branches and stems and long root systems through the years. Whether we like it or not, everyone of us would have to undergo tests, trials and sufferings. Trees producing fruit, and the wood of which they are composed, are a testament to God’s creation: “Out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food” The beauty of creation clearly reveals a Creator to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. And beauty is closer to us than we often realize.

Trees – the Beauty and the Wonder

.

Trees

By Joyce Kilmer

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Be Like a Tree...

By Apolinario Villalobos

A tree, though standing still
and on a windless day
with not even a rustling leaf

is still erect and majestic -
host to winged creatures
that in the sky frolic.

We can be like a tree
by being still and patient -
under a heavy burden
in times of challenges,

we should not waver
but strive for success!

Anti-Gravity Water Transport in Trees

Water transport in plants is amazing in its complexity - the answer lies in tiny, specially designed vessels called xylem — plus a combination of other factors. Scientists are getting closer to mimicking this amazing vertical passage of water for the purpose of future large-scale desalination and sewage treatment
