“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord
bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk
uprightly.” - Psalm 84:11
Does
it sometimes seem as if everything goes their way and they can do no wrong?
Well
beloved, the good news is, YOU are that person.
God’s
Word promises that He’ll bless the righteous and cover him with favor as with a
shield (Psalm 5:12).
And
through the finished work of Christ on the Cross, you’ve been redeemed from sin
and clothed in the full glory of His Righteousness.
So,
who do you think God’s blessing now? Who do you think His favor shines upon?
Well
you of course! His beloved child!
The
best part is, His favor is not dependent on how good you may or may not be.
Instead,
it’s based on what Jesus has done – and that’s unchanging.
So,
whenever you feel like things are going your way – remember God’s favor.
Whenever
you feel like the world is against you – remember God’s favor.
For
no matter whether you’re sold into slavery, or raised to the highest office in
the country, God’s favor – the favor that can turn curses into blessings in an
instant – is ever with you.
Let
His loving-kindness chase you down and envelope you!

Father,
thank you for always keeping me in your heart.
Your
favor upon me is finer than gold and sweeter than honey.
I’d
rather live a minute in your presence, than a lifetime without you.
May
I continually be enveloped by your love and presence.
