WHAT’S IN YOUR HANDS - It is God’s job to make more of what we have. No longer do we need to try harder to bring more to God, let’s have the faith to believe that He makes something good out of whatever is in our hands. Our skills, our resources, our money and our time is enough. Bring it to Him, without hesitation, without excuses, without embarrassment. And that is just what God wants us to do too with what’s in our hands. Whatever is offered, meager and broken as it may appear, God is able to use it for His good purposes and glory. Offer whatever He has blessed us with just now and watch what God will do. - By using the resources that Jael had a hand, she had the honor of defeating the enemy and bringing glory to God. It takes courage and initiative to use what we have been given to do the work God asks us to do. Sometimes we think we need more. More time, more money, more skills, more resources. But in fact, we need to simply consider what is already in our hands. The little we have to offer is enough. God multiplies our offerings to bring an increase beyond our imagination. One boy brought two small fish and five loaves of bread, yet God gave the increase. One widow brought a meagre offering of flour and oil, yet God gave the increase. Vats of water are turned into wine, empty nets are soon bursting with fish, blind eyes are given sight, ailing bodies are made well. Whatever is offered, meager and broken as it may appear, God is able to use it for His good purposes and glory.

What’s  In Your Hands

‘But Jael, Heber’s wife, picked up a tent peg and a hammer and went quietly to him while he lay fast asleep, exhausted. She drove the peg through his temple into the ground, and he died.’ - Judges 4:21 (NIV).

Because women of this time were in charge of pitching

the tents, Jael had no problem driving a tent peg into Sisera’s head while he slept.

By using the resources that Jael had a hand, she had the honor of defeating the enemy and bringing glory to God.

Prayer:

‘Heavenly Father, thank you for the gifts you’ve given me to use for the blessing of others and to glorify you.

Help me to give what is in my hands with faith, in humility and with deep love and gratitude to you.’

In Jesus’ Mighty Name,

AMEN!

Final Thoughts:

It is God’s job to make more of what we have.

No longer do we need to try harder to bring more to God, let’s have the faith to believe that He makes something good out of whatever is in our hands.

Our skills, our resources, our money and our time is enough.

Offer whatever He has blessed us with just now and watch what God will do.

Bring it to Him, without hesitation, without excuses, without embarrassment.

The poor widow with one mite gave all that she had and Jesus was pleased with her small offering.

She did not think, ‘this isn’t enough, it won’t do.’

She gave in faith, in humility and in love.

And that is just what God wants us to do too with what’s in our hands.

Be Greatly Blessed!

KINGS AND PRIESTS - It’s easy to imagine being a king with the privilege and honor of establishing and creating things for God’s glory. It’s a little harder to imagine being a priest because that involves sacrifice. Believers are called to be living sacrifices who daily take up their cross to follow Christ. This unique privilege of being both a king and a priest explains the dominion and authority invested in humans. As a king, you are empowered to go into the world and establish the Father’s kingdom and take authority over everything that opposes itself to God and His order. As a priest, you are equipped to take the elements you establish and offer them back to God as an offering. You are a blood-bought child of the living God who is anointed to serve the King of Kings, searching for His lost sheep and bringing them back to Him as an offering. - “You have made us kings and priests unto our God; and we shall reign on the earth.” - The authority invested in you as a son or daughter of the most high God is expressed in two dimensions: king and priest. It’s not too difficult to imagine being a king (or queen). After all, we find the idea of power, prestige, and authority extremely appealing. This kingly aspect of humanity exists by divine design and is established in the opening chapter of the Bible when God determines to make mankind in His image and likeness and let them have dominion. King David describes humanity as “crowned” with glory and honor.

“You have made us kings and priests unto our God; and we shall reign on the earth.” - Revelation 5:10

The authority invested in you as a son or daughter of the most high God is expressed in two dimensions: king and priest.

It’s not too difficult to imagine being a king (or queen). After all, we find the idea of power, prestige, and authority extremely appealing.

This kingly aspect of humanity exists by divine design and is established in the opening chapter of the Bible when God determines to make mankind in His image and likeness and let them have dominion (Genesis 1:26).

King David describes humanity as “crowned” with glory and honor and says, “You have given him dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet …” (Psalm 8:6).

It’s easy to imagine being a king with the privilege and honor of establishing and creating things for God’s glory.

Are you ready to use the authority that belongs to you?

You are a blood-bought child of the living God who is anointed to serve the King of Kings, searching for His lost sheep and bringing them back to Him as an offering.

When you do, you fulfill the apex of all Christian endeavor by placing the jewel of a soul in the crown of our Savior, so the Lamb that was slain might receive the reward of His suffering.

This is how you reign on earth!

As believers, we are called to be living sacrifices to follow Christ. I pray that today you make a sacrifice.

Whether it be big or small. No sacrifice goes unnoticed to the Lord.

He will provide for you as long as you continue to make sacrifices for Him.

I urge you today to think of something you can sacrifice unto the Lord.

To show your devotion to Him as a believer. Amen.

THE SERVANT KING - (From Heaven You Came) - Graham Kendrick - Nicki Rogers - From heav’n You came, helpless Babe, Entered our world, Your glory veiled; Not to be served but to serve, And give Your life that we might live. This is our God, the Servant King, He calls us now to follow Him, To bring our lives as a daily offering Of worship to the Servant King. There in the garden of tears, My heavy load He chose to bear; His heart with sorrow was torn, ‘Yet not my will but Yours,’ He said. Come see His hands and His feet, The scars that speak of sacrifice; Hands that flung stars into space To cruel nails surrendered. So let us learn how to serve, And in our lives enthrone Him; Each other’s needs to prefer, For it is Christ we’re serving. So let us learn how to serve, And in our lives enthrone Him; Each other’s needs to prefer, For it is Christ we’re serving.

Verse 1
From heav’n You came, helpless Babe,
Entered our world, Your glory veiled;
Not to be served but to serve,
And give Your life that we might live.
Chorus
This is our God, the Servant King,
He calls us now to follow Him,
To bring our lives as a daily offering
Of worship to the Servant King.
Verse 2
There in the garden of tears,
 My heavy load He chose to bear;
His heart with sorrow was torn,
‘Yet not my will but Yours,’ He said.
Verse 3
Come see His hands and His feet,
The scars that speak of sacrifice;
Hands that flung stars into space
To cruel nails surrendered.
Verse 4
So let us learn how to serve,
And in our lives enthrone Him;
Each other’s needs to prefer,
For it is Christ we’re serving.
