God is
Faithful
There is One who is completely faithful… who never breaks a promise,
who remembers every detail, who perseveres in relationship with us even when we
are faithless.
.
God is known by his faithfulness. He is
called El HaNe'eman (meaning “faithful God” in Hebrew). This is God’s name,
because he always chooses to act faithfully. He keeps his promises, never
forgetting even the smallest detail. God the Faithful makes promises to his
people. He doesn’t forget them.
Cliff Wrener
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is
the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of
those who love him and keep his commands.” - Deuteronomy 7:9 NIV
Have you ever forgotten a good friend’s birthday?
How about a significant anniversary? It feels terrible, but yet it’s all too
common.
We find it hard to stay consistent as
friends.
Seasons change. Our commitments change.
There is One who is completely faithful…
who never breaks a promise, who remembers every detail, who perseveres in
relationship with us even when we are faithless (2 Timothy 2:13).
God is known by his faithfulness.
He is called El HaNe'eman (meaning
“faithful God” in Hebrew).
This is God’s name, because he always
chooses to act faithfully. He keeps his promises, never forgetting even the
smallest detail.
God the Faithful makes promises to his
people.
He doesn’t forget them. Do you?
The Bible says that if we remember his
promises, we will be able to walk with spiritual power and authority (2 Peter 1:3-4).
The key to walking closely with this
Faithful God is to remember, give thanks and apply the promises of God.
Can you do this? Ask God how you can
practically apply his promises to your current situation. Begin with this list.
