Apple of God’s Eye

We Are the Apple of His Eye

Kimberly Miller

All too often we focus on the negative in each of our lives. We always seem to center on the chaos and drama each of us experience every day of our lives.
It is during these times of chaos and uncertainty that we need to keep one very important, crucial fact in mind: we are the apple of God’s eye!
.

He loves us so much. He only wants the best for us.
He showers us with blessings every second of every day we live.
Sometimes – amidst drama – we need to stop to remember just how much God loves us.
Zechariah 2:8 explains, “For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.”
Sometimes during these moments, we ought to utter to God what the Psalmist David uttered to God in Psalm 17:8, “Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings.”
Throughout the entire Bible, we see all the vast evidence of God’s unending and unfailing love for each of us. Every page unveils this undeniable truth.
The love God has for us is matched by no other love that the world has ever seen or ever will see!

Listen to these few verses that show how much God loves us..
Because we are the apple of His eye, He has plans for us. He is always right beside us every single day, guiding us through every trial and blessing we face.
“For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish,” (Psalm 1:6).
Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Because we are the apple of His eye, He looks out for us as He is with us every step of the way.
Psalm 33:14 speaks to this truth – “From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.”
Because we are the apple of His eye, He offers to be our soul’s core, our rock, our foundation.
Deuteronomy 6:5 tells us this: “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”
When we love Him as He loves us, our relationship with Him will only continue to thrive.
Lastly, because we are the apple of His eye, we should show Him just as much respect in keeping Him as the apple of our eye.
Proverbs 7:2 says, “Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.”
He is by no means forced to love, care, and protect us. He earnestly wants each of us to prosper in His Will.
He blesses us more than we will ever know … because we are the apple of His – the God of the Universe and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – eye.
The least we could ever do for Him is to hold Him in the highest place we possibly can – the apple of our eye.
God will grant us the ultimate gift, eternal life in His Kingdom through His grace if we repent of our sins and obey His commands .
To experience God as a personal, caring, loving Father, you have to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. You will become a child of God and begin the fulfillment of the reason you were created by God.
Say the following prayer:
“Father God, I confess I am a sinner and my sins have separated me from You.
I am truly sorry. I now want to turn away from my past sinful life and live a new life pleasing to You.
Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again.
I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer.
I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Thank You that according to Your Word, I am now Your child, and I am born again.
Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. I promise to study Your Word – the Bible.
Please use me for Your glory.

In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.”

“Father God, I confess I am a sinner and my sins have separated me from You.
