AUTHORITY OVER SATAN - Because you are now born of God, you are able to resist the devil - now you have the power of the Name of Jesus and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and you can be filled to overflowing with the Holy Ghost - the god of this world no longer has any dominion over you - Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, you can do it now. Receiving Jesus is easy to do. You need to recognize that you are a sinner and are being dominated by the god of this world, Satan. By accepting the blood of Jesus as the sacrifice for your sins, you can become born again, spiritually. Then God will take you from spiritual death to spiritual life. Your life can be changed right now by praying this simple prayer from your heart: "Jesus, I know I'm a sinner. I know I'm lost, but I want You to come into my heart and save me. So I receive you now as my Savior and I make You the Lord of my life." Now you have been born again supernaturally! The last phrase of this verse in The Amplified Bible says, "Behold, the fresh and new has come!" Another translation says, "He is a new species of being that never before existed." Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

If not, you can do it now. Receiving Jesus is easy to do.

God's Word says, "He (the Holy Spirit) Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he (the devil) who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 AMP).

Guess what? The god of this world no longer has any dominion over you.

Because you are now born of God, you are able to resist the devil.

God's Word says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).

God's intention is that mankind be out from under Satan's boot. By reversing roles, you can now put your boot on his neck and keep him underfoot!

It’s Time to Fly!

Are you struggling to break out of some type of negative circumstances today? 

Perhaps it’s because you’ve not yet grasped what the Bible says about your identity in Christ.

When you gave your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you became God’s beloved son or daughter.

The Bible says you were “born of God” (John 1:12-13 NIV), and you now have His spiritual DNA.

Of course, you still have choices to make as whether you will allow God’s character and DNA to be manifested in your life, but the verdict is already in regarding your destiny: “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29).

God will be relentless until you’ve been restored to His likeness
(Genesis 1:26-29, Philippians 1:6).

God’s DNA is not designed for failure and frustration, but rather for greatness… love… holiness… and victory.

However, because of ignorance of what the Bible says about our DNA as God’s children, many Christians base their view of themselves on their past setbacks or their current circumstances.

No wonder they’re never able to break free! They’ve forgotten their true identity.

A Simple Story

The story of Edgar the Eagle illustrates why you may need to have your mind renewed in order to see your calling as a Believer (Romans 12:2).

When Edgar was just a baby eagle, he fell off his family’s high mountain ledge and landed among a flock of pigeons.

The pigeons were friendly enough to take Edgar into their community and teach him how to live as one of them.

Edgar’s education among the pigeons continued for more than a year.

He flew along with them — never very high off the ground, of course — and scavenged for the meager food the pigeons ate.

But one day Edgar happened to see a huge eagle soaring effortlessly in the air, and something jumped in his heart.

“Why can’t I do that?” he asked the pigeons around him.

“Oh, you wouldn’t want to fly that high,” they warned him. “It’s much too dangerous up there.”

However, Edgar refused to be held back by his naysaying pigeon friends.

When they weren’t looking, he walked up the mountain until he came to the very perch where he had fallen from as a baby.

His mother eagle spotted him and joyfully welcomed him home.

Soon he was soaring with her and the other eagles, far above the drab life of his pigeon friends.

Learning From Edgar

Edgar had the DNA of eagles, not pigeons, and his DNA ultimately won out over his circumstances.

Yet, for a time, he had lived among the pigeons and seen himself as one of them.

He had accepted their lifestyle as his own, not realizing he was called to so much more.

Perhaps you find yourself living like a pigeon today — shallow, earthbound, purposeless.

Maybe you’ve learned the lifestyle of those around you, even falling prey to sins and addictions that have dishonored God.

But perhaps your heart is longing today to break out of your comfort zone and soar to new heights.

Like Edgar, you sense it’s time to rediscover a high calling that seems a distant memory.

If so, why not claim your destiny as an eagle?

“Those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

If you find yourself flapping like a pigeon instead of soaring like an eagle, it’s time to break out of your frustrating circumstances. It’s time to FLY!
